| It'll probably lose, but Labor Days is, without question, the better album imo.

| I have to ask are folks voting for Aes cause they think Labor Days is that good, or is it because folks hate Jay-Z that much?
Otherwise this is truly an upset.

| I like Jay-Z a lot, and Blueprint is a dope ass album (4.5*), but Labor Days is a fucking brilliant, 5* album to me. | |

| For the record, I love Blueprint, but Labor Days SOUNDS DIFFFERENT than anything else. So when comparing two albums I have at 5 stars, the edge goes to the more creative one. Jay is just perfecting what he (and quite a few other mc's) have done well in the past whereas Aes was experimenting with different styles, techniques, and lyrics that no other rapper on the planet could spit and make sound dope. 2001 is very stacked overall IMO. |

Otherwise this is truly an upset. I love Jigga...he's number 7 on my all-time list....Aesop is not even in my top 50 of all-time... but The Blueprint is not one of my favorite Jay-Z efforts....I think Labor Days is slightly better which is why it got my vote here.....

| Aesop Rock doesn't do it for me. This Blueprint album is classic. It's whatever though.

This is true, but I think Blockhead deserves some shine for the 8 tracks he produced on the album. In fact, I feel it's just about the best work he ever produced - which really makes the album come full circle IMO. Either way, my favorite cut on the album is the lone Omega One produced "Coma".

| I truly can't believe this. Aesop Rock has one of the worst deliveries in rap history from what I remember. I get that his album is more creative but Blueprint jams harder and is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more entertaining and meaningful. This is str8 up square biz right here.
But on a positive note upsets like this keep the tourney interesting. Now I see Aesop is one helluva contender.

| That's not even including "No Regrets", "Coma"...etc
And Coma is one of my favorite beats ever, Alan. Especially that horn break.
And Kevin if you think Aesop Rock's delivery is one of the worst, then you probably hate MF Doom, Ghostface Killa, Del, Busta Rhymes, etc etc etc. But it's hard to take those comments seriously when you once said that E-40 doesn't have a good flow. |

| Labor Days is absolute classic, Kev. His delivery is different but amazing, and the production is ridiculous. Its better than Blueprint which gets boring | |

He's overrated amongst you fanboys, and I know that I'm not the voice of post-2000 hip-hop nation but I don't give a fuck. This dude is just aight to me, he's not GREAT. He's not as good as Nas or Jay-Z and never will be.
