Talent for talent, skill for skill... I look at that list and see no reason why Rugged Man, Vakill, OneBeLo, Apathy and others shouldn't be up there. Everyone's so locked into a time period.

Yea, the evolution of the rap/pop hybrid sucks compared to the overall state of hip-hop in the 90s. But today's best are at least as good as the best from any time.

I don't disagree, but I was trying to be as objective as possible and also take into account cultural relevance, commercial success, and the like in addition to skills when I made the list.

I agree most of your candidates are noteworthy and contenders for the title.

That a solid list. Most of them are on my personal top 20 GOAT list. I don't agree with Gza, Pun, & 3000 to a degree. But objectively I know they are GOAT candidates.

I'm working on something BIG along these lines. Stay tuned.
