Or not?

I mean this kid is on video beating down a woman. Like a grown man beating. Yet he is still signed/promoted/etc.

Does that reflect on the game? Maybe not? Didn't Dre punch a chick back in the day on video?

Are we shocked entertainers get a pass?

R. Kelly
Woody Allen
Roman Palanski
Big Pun
Chris Brown

We can keep going? Somehow dudes maintain their career in spite mass moral trepidation.

I can't believe Def Jam didn't dump this kid. His initial response was all about it. I think they told him to humble himself or beat it, so he switched gears to an apology quick.

Well, umm Roman ain't even in the realm of the forum. The Pun shit was foul, but if I recall didn't come out until after he died.

I though the Chris Brown and Kelly shit are foul too, but both guys were already superstars when the shit came out. I fell this kid is just a signed nobody associated with another signed nobody, so dunno why he's been given a pass.

Yeah, I think Def Jam is foul for this shit. Kid isn't even dope or hot. He got signed cuz he down with Chief Keef who is wack in himself so I guess Def Jam is all money now, no hip hop. Wonder what russell simmons thinks.

Chris Brown didn't get a pass. He got criticized for it. But it didn't ruin his career

Funniest thing about all this is what a pussy he is. That was a petite girl. I'm not advocating beating ladies. I hope everyone here knows that much about me by now. I'm saying, though, how many snacks should it take to put a itty-bitty female to sleep?

I'd say Chris Brown's 'break' was perfectly calculated by a PR/Marketing staff that was in charge of keeping him profitable.

yeah, this dude can't get a pass. nobody even knows him. This is practically just publicity for him.

EDIT: No one should get a pass for something like this, honestly, but some are just already huge like Brown & R.Kelly who have fanbases who won't abandon them for whatever reason.

Yeah most of those people Peterson mentioned are waaaaaay bigger than his shit stain from an Aids infected ass. I haven't seen the video of him beating up the girl but if thats true I hope he finds a way to get killed or kill himself later on in life.

And to answer the question yes it does reflect on the game. It shows there are no standards for who a label is willing to promote. Dre did punch or slap ole girl from Pump It Up and that was wrong also. Both show incidents of whats wrong when an artist trys to put on a act. Dre had mad talent so it overshadowed his mistake, but this fuck jizz is nobody.

You can catch the vid on wshh or hhdx if you want to see it, didn't really feel like posting it here. Parker is right too, ol girl is petite and this punkass punch her multiple times n kick her while she on the floor but she still fighting back. She more of a man than he is.

stuff like this is why i don't even wanna support any artist unless they're on an indy. pretty sure that's what i'm gonna do now, especially since the iron fist sdtrk was 3/5 at best. it had some amazing tracks, but no cohesion and a lot of boringness.

Artist like Chief Keef and whatnot generate alot of ringtones sales, and Dl songs. Labels know that. Albums wise these artist-ahem--sorry ass rapper normally flop due to their fanbase not buying their albums and the music gets bad ratings with critics. Take J-Kwon,Jibbs, Hurricane Chris, ect. Young boys who made labels serious money off gangster songs for teeny boppers. Its about songs with these guys instead of albums and kids will listen to anything bad. Then was dropped like a bad habit. They already know their albums won't be shit but you strike while the iron is hot

I don't think anyone has bought a ring tone in a few years, but besides that your post is spot on. Keef, Reese and their ilk seem to be the rejuvenation of the '04-'06 era one-off single, bring in the next "artist" business model.
