I need to listen to the solo albums again before rating them. I can say I don't remember liking any of them more than the group albums. Pimp C's "Pimpalation" and "The Sweet James Jones Stories" were my favorites

I may check those Pimp C albums out, but they're not on my radar at this point. And I'm a Bun fan, plus I really like his solos, which is why you see the high ratings, lol.

i cosign Live From Da Manjah that album is easily the best thing Bun did away from UGK in my opinion, but like Kev i didnt really care for his solos.

UGK is the GOAT southern group to me though...Ridin Dirty, Too Hard to Swallow, Super Tight all classic

Too Hard To Swallow is still classic to me even though Pimp C's production improved on later albums. I just had to knock it it down a little because it's not fighting for the top spot like Ridin' Dirty & Super Tight

They would be the 3rd best from the south personally, just behind kast and geto boys

I figured since most people are posting Ridin Dirty as their best album it would be obvious which one to start with. Also since you are not a fan of southern rap none of their albums may speak specifically to your taste.
