| So, I've had to let this one sink in a bit. It's different than their other albums. Once you get into the album it's a solid listen. Typical Boots lyrics with a slightly different musical backdrop IMO. | |

Eighties post-disco alt rock for the most part. Except 'Violet' which is entirely unto its own... a completely beautiful song. Awkward a little bit here and there, buttery smooth for the most part... all the way creative. Boots murders everything, and whoever plays guitar is great too.

| I am so glad I listened to this album. Probably nothing else for a little while I think. | |

| I love this album. Puts a smile on my face, satisfying. A six-course meal of hip-hop nutrition. No fast food here. | |

| I really liked this album! It's different from their other ones, but I feel like this could have been what the rock/rap genre was meant to be. I feel that this record definitely ties the punk rock fans with the revolutionary hip hop fans. I had to get a signed copy for archiving purposes, a t-shirt and a regular copy for playing purposes. |

| I'm sure you would feel that way, however, if you look past all of that, you would see that it is a very decent album. Oh well, different strokes for different folks. |

| I'd have been surprised if Steve liked this. It seems like something he'd think is 'weird' in a not good way. | |

Yeah, I am fairly predictable in my tastes. I did give three full tracks a listen at least.

Genocide & Juice is better than Steal This Album. Objectively. : )

| Have you listened to this, Half? I can't get more than three tracks into anything else before I start fiending for it. | |

| Genocide & Juice might just edge out Steal This Album as my favorite but I think STA is Boots at his best. Also contains my favorite Coup track: Me And Jesus The Pimp...
I haven't actually heard anything else from them. This might be the one to check out. I know he did an album with the guitarist from Rage Against The Machine but I never felt the urge to listen to it |

Nah I haven't checked it out yet. Got it lined up on Spotify with about 30 or so more albums from this year I want to check. I'll give it a listen soon.

| I don't know man...I think you guys all fucked it up for me. I was expecting so much more from the praises. I've given this album a few chances and I'm not seeing what is so great about it. It's not the rock thing that throws me, I actually thoroughly enjoyed Street Sweeper Social Club, it just sounds off to me. I didn't hate it or anything, I still enjoyed it, but I can't give it more than a 3.0. | |

| To me the music is retro to a really specific, kind of obscure period.
I hear a lot of David Byrne, Peter Gabriel, Devo... shit like that. Then there's a few tracks that are just really completely unique.
I honestly don't know if I'd like this if that music wasn't on MTV when I was little.
