If you take it for what it is, it's not bad music that I've heard. I won't be buying it either, though.

I want to check out the documentary, but I probably won't get the music.

Yeah I wanna check out the documentary. I won't buy it but i'll prob hear it at some stage. I'm more interested in Snoop doing a reggae album than a rap album at this point though. Lost interest in him about 10 years ago

I was listinin' to Deep Cover last night, and it just pisses me off more and more at the guy. How can you go from hardcore to doin' shit with Big Time Rush and hosting the Kids Choice Awards. He's about as big a sellout as Will i Am.

And I lost some respect for Kendrick Lamar for doin' shit with 50.

I don't think Snoop is selling out per se. He's getting old and wants to leave something positive for the kids. Ice Cube went the same route, except he decided that kid movies were his thing. Will I Am, on the other hand is a different story.

I remember seeing a thread somewhere that questioned whether or not Nelly would be classified as a sellout for wanting to do work with Chuck D. Who knows, maybe Kendrick used to listen to 50 back in the day, and thought it would be dope to work with him. The same goes for Nelly imho.

Then again, I haven't heard either track (not sure the Nelly and Chuck D collabo actually exists though).

That's kind of a reverse-sell out for Nelly. I think he did that to gain back some UG respect after the KRS-One incident. But really, who knows.

Will i Am is so arrogant that he actually says Hip Hop turned its back on HIM.

Snoop did soften up over time, Cube to a lesser extent, but I can see your point about leaving a legacy for the kids.

Funny story - I was bumpin' Death Certificate not to long ago. My son overheard some of it and asked me who it was. I said it was Ice Cube. My son got upset and said that's terrible. How can this guy name himself after the guy from "Are We There Yet"? He's going to make him look bad!

I own all of Snoop's album, however, I'm not bothering with this one.

Isn't this insulting to Jamaican people? I know he means no harm and he's just paying homage but it just seems disrespectful to me. He even fakes Jamaican accents and speech patterns. That's like Taylor Swift trying to pay homage to Hip Hop by rapping and dropping N Bombs...just sayin...
