Subject: Any great rap groups emerged post-2000? Sun 02 Aug 2009, 10:06 am
The rap group is dying out. All were getting is super groups. Solo MCs forming groups. I'd say Monsta Czars is the best rap group post-2000 but they're more of a movement. Super Chron Flight Bros was just 2 emcees that came together. Non-Phixon is a likely canidate even though they been around before 2000 but they officailly dropped in LP in 2000 but broke up immediately. Man, I can't think of an officail rap group that emerged post 2000 in the same vien as Roots or ATCQ. Well I guess JEdi Mind Tricks,Cunninglist, Little Brother, but these groups aren't in my top 10.

Have you heard Jurassic 5's albums Powell? If not then you should check them out except for Feedback. They have that old school boom-bap style.
