| Top 100 Of all-time for me
he's my third best emcee LYRICALLY out've the south behind Andre 3000 and Phonte..
I think people sleep on how lyrical Luda really is because he makes a lotta of silly ass videos but dude is one of the best straight up spitters to ever do it IMO..
his impact has been huge and in his relatively short career (since 2000) he's released some pretty big records
Top 100 sounds about right for Luda IMO

| Even though Luda would not make my top 100 personally I can see his top 100 status. Major singles, nice catalog, unique delivery, lyrical, and mass appeal. |

| No vote for me.
I've heard some stuff. Like some, disliked some. Haven't heard enough to form an opinion as of yet. |

| Top 100 for sure...one of the best out of the South to do it, you gotta give him top 10 outta the Souf, and unless you think the souf doesn't make up at least the last 10% of 100 rappers, he makes it. |

| Which Ludacris albums are great albums, front to back, well crafted and consistent, that you can see yourself listening to years from now? I've been waiting for him, with his obviously tremendous skill, to make even one of those albums, but none of them have sounded like that to me. They all sound like a collection of potential singles packed together. | |

I can listen to all of his albums regularly, but you're entitled to your opinion

| So all of his albums are great albums, in your opinion? I'm talking about 10, 20 years from now, you expect all his albums to still sound great to you? | |

| It really depends how you would define "great". If you equate great great to classic, the answer would be no, but IMO, an album can be great without being a classic. I have all of his albums at 4 stars or better, and a few that are close to classic to me. | |

| hmmmm..Lyrically his punchline's and Vocab is on point but his music at time's has been a little childish. Theater of the Mind with Premier and 9th Wonder each doing a joint was a step in the right maturity direction with his music. I would say Top 100. |

Back For The First Time is a personal classic for me, I liked EVERY track on it. Word Of Mouf and Theater Of The Mind were near classics IMO. His worst CD was Release Therapy and even that is 3.5 which is above average. Hence, I ranked him in the Top 50. Luda is easily one of the best AND most consistent MC's this decade. He's got a strong body of work, and he's a great lyricist (on both songs AND freestyles). Hence, I rated him Top 50. I was debating on whether I should vote 50 or 100, but honestly I can't think of 50 MC's better than him. Scarface is the only Southern MC that I dig more. |

Honestly, yes. I like Three Stacks but I think he's fallen off a bit since Stankonia. |

| Wow! I'm surprised that an old school dude like yourself would say that, but Luda's no joke. I don't think he has a consensus classic, but Back For The First Time and Word of Mouf come close. | |

I co sign, I have the same view on his albums. "hmmmm..Lyrically his punchline's and Vocab is on point but his music at time's has been a little childish. | Also to me Luda is not that strong lyrically I think he just has witty comedic punchlines but rarely does he say anything that wows me. |

Don't get me wrong, I love Andre but I thought that The Love Below and Idlewild were duds. Luda has yet to put out a dud six albums into his career. |

| I don't agree skill wise because their skills are on different levels. Too Short is very skilled for his lane and style and one of the first and best to teach these lames about the pimp game and talk street talk. Short has albums and songs people hold dear to this day but like my man said earlier do you really think Luda album and singles stick to your ribs like any Short singles or albums? Hell no imo. |

| It's not fair to compare the two because they are two types of mc's. Short does what he does beter than almost anyone. Luda is a dope rapper with dope punchlines, and there are a lot of rappers similar to him in that aspect. However, strictly from a lyrical perspective, Luda is a lot better than Too Short. | |

| Luda is and will always be a lot more lyrical than Short, but short is a pioneer and OG like none other.
But I vote based on who I bump and both were top 100 for me with Short being top 50.
They are different type of rappers and for all that short may lack in lyrical skill he makes up for it in other ways. |
