You complained that RUN DMC should have been higher than 7 on the top 10 - so my plan is to run down the list and see who people feel is better or not than Run DMC and that will show where they should have been to begin with.

Classic albums, greater influence - I mean the whole rap game was political because of them and they continue to drop dope albums.

nah.... this forum is pretty representative of the "hip-hop nation" - especially when you see how many people here buy up shit like the new Raekwon and Survival Skills - you like to discount it when it is convenient for you - but this forum is die hard hip-hop heads - and if they feel a certain way I think it would be towards ranking Run DMC where they belong.

The other thing to consider is that top 10 was based on aggregate score - it was not based on who people felt were #1 - 2 - 3 etc. - but on how strongly people felt someone belonged in the top 10. So the rankings may not in fact accurately reflect the order people would use.

Personally, I'd give it to Public Enemy buy just a little bit...

Both have 4 classics IMO, and PE just backs up those classics with several strong 4 star records. Something Run-DMC doesn't have. They are neck and neck in my top 10 for the east though.
