So I guess this was supposed to be Large Pro's solo debut, but it was shelved back in 1996 by Geffen Records. On the first listen, I was digging everything about it besides a couple choruses here and there. Production and rapping was very nice throughout and it had many of standout cuts IMO. It felt more focused because there was only one guest spot by Nas. Feels a bit raw, but I dug it overall. Of his solo work, I enjoy this most. Definitely going to be buying this one. And plus, the new version has an extra 15 minutes of music than the original circulated bootleg release from 1996.

My rating (after 1 spin...could change): 4.25 stars

I remember this joint. It was good, but it was no Breakin Atoms. 4 stars.

I wonder what Large Professor has to say about this impostor?

ditto on the "wtf"...

I agree it's not as good as "Breaking Atmos" KJ, but it's easily his 2nd best that I've heard. 4 stars sounds about right...I liked it a bit more after 1 spin, but time a future spins will tell...

Am I the only one who noticed the Large PrEfesser misspelling? or am I missing something intentional here?

Either way it was a joke, nothing more.

I noticed that, but it won't let me edit the poll settings in the options area.

Bad ass joint!! Raw hip hop for '96. Large Pro came correct, but the fuckin' label wouldn't promote stating that the album wouldn't sell as much against other records that year. That was a bullshit excuse. That album definitely would have sold. That Mad Scientist joint played numerous times on all TV music outlets and was in the top ten on MTV back then. Anyway, dope album.
