| I have to change mine now because I rushed and tought this guys debut album was in the late 90's but it actually 1st dropped in 2000 and the winner is........
Beanie Sigel
The man was a beast on the mic and still can be when motivated and is one of my top 50 fav rappers. So take off Bro Ali and Beanie Sigel there for me. |

| I like Beanie but I can think of a number of post 2000 MC's more lyrical. That said, The Truth was a banger. |

| Co-sign KJ, the Truth was, well, the Truth but he failed to follow up with another classic. |

| I just mean mainly lyrically is why I choose him and on those 1st 3 album he was a beast to me. But he does only have two albums that could be considered classics. |

| I can't see Blu because he only dropped one fire album with a dope producer and they had chemistry together. But imo Blu hasn't done ish since kinda how I view Pete Rock and CL Smooth after their 1st album. I think Blu and Exile should have stuck together for at least one more album because they had major buzz after that 1st one and would have sold a lot more that 2nd time around. |

| While It wasn't as good as Below the Heavens, Johnson&Jonson was a damn good album in my opinion, so Blu has more than one noteworthy album under his belt. Didn't like the C.R.A.C. album though. | |

| I see your points, I'm just not a big Blu fan in general. |

| I think that makes Jason the second person who thinks johnson and johnson is dope... Simpy put Blu has not made a big impact with his catalog and when it comes to rhyming skills I feel he would be shredded to pieces by the other nominees...
You know who I will vote for who slipped my mind so far.... SHAD - a classic album under his belt should get him consideration... |

I see your point, but on the latter half, have you heard "The Main Ingredient"? Many people would consider that to be classic right along with "Mecca", if not nearly it's equal. |

| Naw I haven't heard Main Ingredient but I have skimmed through it. I jst don't vibe with CL Smooth well. I never except on this forum hear anyone mention that album let alone the 1st one often. |

Oh yeah, to each their own. It just sounded like you were comparing the PR&CLS albums to the B&E as if you liked both about the same. Also, PR&CLS struck while the iron was hot on both those full lengths and their debut EP which created plenty of buzz for them. They definitely had a longer run than Blu & Exile (at this point). That was my point.
