Christ Pounds!! You must have had a TON of time on your hands today to post that LMAO!!

That said, impressive list. I have a pretty big cassette discog as well, some of which I'm still trying to convert to CD's. Many of which are on your list.

I wish The Fat Boys' first 2 albums were available in CD format, I'd cop them immediately.

LOL...I didn't type this all today...this took nearly a month on and off...an hour here, an hour there...it took time.

But I agree about the Fat Boys tapes. And actually, that's the reason I started collecting cassettes to begin with. Cheap out of print classic material.

I'm a nerd...I expect to get shit for this shit...lol. But I think they are still pretty impressed with the catalog...

You can find Redman tapes anywhere. I had to search religiously for years to find some of those handmade/underground/tape-only releases (the Living Legends catalog for example). Some would be impossible to find. For years I'd buy hip-hop tapes in bulk on Ebay (anywhere from 100-300 at a time). Keep the one's I want, and sell the rest. I'm sure I've sold close to 2,500 cassettes since I've started this project. It got tiring, but it was kind of fun, and I broke about even half the time (minus the work obviously). I also collect one type of storage case. Savoy leather cases that hold 60 or 120 tapes a piece. They're pretty rare. I wish I could find more....I used to snap them up on ebay.

I basically have all the tapes stored in 11 of these...

Yes sir. I wish it was in better shape though. I got it dirt cheap in a lot. That one goes for a decent amount alone on ebay. I think I've seen it go for about $30.

They do have a fuller spectrum of sound. They didn't fuck with the levels on tapes (all analog recordings really) back in the day to make it sound crisp on an iPod, or make it sound louder on the radio. On the other hand, they do wear out and sound shitty after lots of play time.

Alan, that's an amazing collection it would have to be worth a fuck load. Can you post your address so I can rob you.

I recently started collecting vinyl aand love the gritty sound and huge covers of my favorite artwork and it's cool being able to hear music not available on cd. I'm currently hunting down all the fondle 'em records.
The only thing that sucks is when your friends get drunk they think they are DJs and start scratching my records

I hope you plan on listening to them, cause you wouldn't make much money of 'em. lol

I agree about the artwork and different sound. The artwork especially. It's a rare deal if I ever buy and LP/12" with a plain cover. I gotta have that art...

Most of my DJ friends - which is quite a few - have gone digital....like nearly all of them. Even the vinyl purists changed up their format. I guess shit is just much more cost effective and basically limitless when you go digital. So they never touch my vinyl. That new program Tractor has hooked all of them.
