I haven't really listen to them, so I'm going to refrain from voting on this one...

I think it's bullshit people have been intimidated into not voting someone who isn't in their top 100 by other bleeding vaginas on here who complain every time one of their faves doesn't get in. If you don't know them? Guess what, that means they're not top 100 for you.

For the record, neither for me; sex rap is cool for some, I guess.

Steve I'm not intimidated at all, I just want to at least listen to them and give them a fair judgement. Since I haven't done that, I think it isn't fair to vote neither on someone I don't even really know, but I do see the point you've just made...

This is a group that i have listened to a lot. I have all their albums on my Ipod and i listen to them quite a bit in the summer because they have lots of bass. I also have every Young Jeezy album for the same reason. So i vote neither.

This group has reached their level because of Notoriety. IMO, their music does not make them worthy of a top 100 spot.

Luke is a pioneer...he started bass music IMO

who hasn't heard "Doo-Doo Brown"??

the censorship thing was also a staple of the 2 Live Crew

and of course they led the way with the video vixens

I've got them in the top 100 of all-time easily

Thank you Powell and they also dropped 3-4 albums back to back that are considered classics in the south. They are pioneers of the booty music and hate it or luv it they are the fore fathers of all the party music we are hearing now. Mr Mixx laid a foundation with his production and Luke was a great hype man and visionary and tapped into the sex market like no other. Top 100!!

Sorry, this is my first neither. They made some good butt songs but lyrically they shouldn't rank on anybody's list.

I voted neither also. It's not just because they were limited lyrically (although that's one of the reasons) but they were also one-dimensional. All they rapped about was sex. I love to have sex as much anybody, but their act starts to wear thin after a while for me.

While groundbreaking in their own right, and I do feel the 4 tapes I own them are quite good, I don't bump them enough to consider them top 100.

I think "influence" is getting too much credit again...

2 Live Crew is dope, Kev, but again, I think you can't measure them up against a TON of other groups that have done more with their discog and less in influence.

I don't agree because in the south/midwest/west a lot of heads my age and older would let you know about 2 Live but it's all good. I know how it is....

Precisely. I don't dismiss influence, but if my neck ain't feeling it, it's not going to get any play. And I'd feel like a douche saying I like music I actually don't bump much if I voted them in. I'm keeping it real. That's all, Kev. I like 2 Live Crew in particular, but they are not top 100 to me.

That record is definitely a classic IMO. That's probably in my roommate's top 10, so I hear it a good amount since he plays it. I guess that's the one I usually bump too though. While they have skills, the content is still somewhat novel to me. I actually own "2 Live Crew Is What We Are", "Move Somethin'", & "Banned in the USA". All are good, but I still bump "Nasty" quite a bit more.
