The Juice Crew thread motivated me since this is a great match up also...top calibur rappers most with deep lyrics and top ten production to back them up with Rza and Organized Noise.

I don't see a blow out production or lyric wise....I pick the Dungeon Fam because I feel Dre, Big Boi, Gipp, Cee Lo, and Killer Mike could match up with some fo the best from the Wu. Not in a mic battle per say but catalog and skill wise.

Well to Me the production is a complete blowout. GZA and Andre are both top 10 to me, and they cancel each other out. I think Meth is better than Big Boi, but not by a ton though. Here is where we will differ though Kev. Ghostface is one of my favorites, and I know you think he is somewhat overrated. I would take him over Cee-lo as a lyricist, and he has at least 3 albums better than Cee-lo's best.. Killer Mike is dope, but I'm not sure he's better than Deck or Raekwon. I was never a huge fan of Gipp

Ghostface is in my top 20 fav so I do not think he is overrated overall but lyrically he is sometimes and I can't believe you think he is more lyrical than Cee-Lo? Cee Lo first of all is understandable, 2nd of all he has the more deeper lyrics imo. I think Ghost has the betta delivery and their style is a tie I would say. Gipp in his prime may could get Rae and Deck word for word but like Ghost Gipp is hard to read sometimes due to the slang and riddles he rhymes in. Killer mike would best Rae and U God to me and Meht and Big Boi would be good but I think Meth would win that one. But who's really messing with Andre? seriously?

Oh and production wise I know you must be using blind bias because Organized Noise are beastly and I think you know that. I mean they crafted jsut as many rap anthems as Wu to me. Wu is top 5 fav of mine and they are betta than DF impact, mic battle, and maybe originality wise but quality, real talk lyricism, and beat wise it's not a blow out it's dang close.

Kev, you know i love Cee-Lo, and i think Ghost and Cee-lo are the most soulful members of their groups. Cee-lo reminds me of Pac to a certain extent. I think their passion makes them seem better than they actually are in reality. I do think Ghost is a better lyricist, but he's more abstract. Sometimes Ghost will out think himself, and his rhymes can border on nonsensical. IMO, that is only a small gripe. Cee-lo's problem is that he can sing too much. Someone that dope does not need to be singing that much. As far as Andre goes, he would be canceled out by GZA.. They are both top ten to me.

No, it's not blind bias. RZA is that much better to me. There are only a handful of producers that i would consider to be on his tier. I think he is more diverse and to a lesser extent, i think he is more original.

Wu wins this one easily. Outkast and Cee-Lo are the only ones that can match up with the top 5-6 guys in Wu.

Honestly, I haven't heard much Dungeon Fam besides Outkast, Goodie Mob, a Killer Mike record, a Witchdoctor record. And a Cee-Lo record. So I honestly don't feel I could vote on this one objectively.

However, I will say these records top the very best by the Wu IMO:

Goodie Mob "Soul Food"
Outkast "Southernplayalistic"
Outkast "Aquemini"

Whether they're better or not is debatable. But I'd take each one of them over "36 Chambers" is a heartbeat.

Wow! you'd really take all of those over 36 Chambers? Those three are classics so i don't have a problem with it, but I am a little surprised.

Damn right I would. lol

The vibes on all 3 of those records hit me way harder. I guess you can say I like the fresh fried southern vibes more than the gritty east coast Wu Tang vibe. In fact, those 3 albums would all crack my top 20. With Wu Tang falling a little short. My opinion of course.

Yeah, I guess most people would. But ATLiens is respectively my 3rd or 4th favorite 'Kast album.

I personally hold "Aquemini" & "Southernplayalistic" higher than both "Stankonia" & "ATLiens". I play those quite a bit more. I can obviously see them as being interchangeable though.
