How to download songs off Youtube...PROPER WAY

I never used Tubesucker, but if you really have to download the video, that takes too got-damn long and too much space on the ol HD.

Here's how I do it...

Go to Youtube, find a video you wan.

Copy the link from the URL box under the video description (not the address bar because sometimes when you copy from the address bar it will have something along the lines of 'feature=dhjfsjf-related"' which won't work)

Go to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Paste the link into the convert box

Set the bitrate and file format you want (for me, I usually go 128kbps and MP3)

Wait for it to convert (about 60 seconds)

Then download

There you have it.

smh. Just saying if you have to download the whole video just to extract the audio, then that is an alternative.

I hope it works well for you, Ex. By the way, you can convert more than one video at the time. I think it allows up to 10 per session.

only prob i have with youtube is the quality

You can fix the bitrate. After you download the song, take it to Adobe Audition and use that to up the bitrate.

Get an external. Just bought a 500GB external off Amazon. Best investment I ever made for my computer. I DL directly to the external. Don't have to worry about filling up the C drive.

You can download videos off youtube but many just use limewire since they're unaware of Tubesucker(or such programs). Do do need another application to convert this video into Ipod Video Format, forgot what it is at the moment.

J. Pete, you can rip ANY audio from your computer. Quite easy. It doesn't have to be Youtube, you can go on MySpace and rip streaming songs and convert them to MP3 in the technique I'm going to tell you.

First of all, go to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Download Audacity

Download the LAME MP3 encoder on that same website

Install Audacity

Install LAME MP3 encoder (It's been a while, I'm not sure if the LAME needs installing or not)

Place the LAME MP3 encoder in the Audacity file

Open Audacity

Go on the website you want to rip audio from

Hit the "record" button in Audacity

Then play the song you want.

While the song or whatever is playing, Audacity will receive sound data in the waveform and you can export that sound data to MP3. When the song is finished, click "stop" in Audacity. you might have to edit out the silence in the beginning and end of the song in the waveform also using Audacity because the time it took for you to click the play button on what you want to record, that couple seconds of silence was also captured, so you might want to cut that out. Also the end also has unwanted recorded silence after the song ends, because of the time that it took you to press stop after the song ended. So cut that out as well.
