PostSubject: Former Three 6 Mafia Members   Sat 02 Jan 2010, 11:14 pm

The former members of the original 6 have fallen on tough times, check it out:

Lord Infamous

"Lord Infamous was for awhile side to be back in the studio with brother DJ Paul and friend Juicy J to record the new Three 6 Mafia album Laws of Power which is going to be released next March, but DJ Paul has recently said those were all rumors; Sony Records stated that he had breached his contract and is no longer allowed to record with the group because of his numerous arrests."

(I wondered what happened to him and why he left.)

Gangsta Boo

"According to wmctv in Memphis TN as on July 23 2009, "The Memphis rap artist known as Gangsta Boo has been charged in connection with the armed robbery of a Dollar General Store in Olive Branch, Mississippi.

Lola Chanterelle Mitchell is charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery. Olive Branch police say she and another suspect, Marcus Curtis, allegedly robbed the store at Nichols and Hacks Cross on July 23.

Major Tim Presley said a male suspect confronted a female clerk at gunpoint outside the store.

"Then the female clerk and the male clerk were ordered to put the cash from the safe in the register in shopping bags," Presley said.

After ordering the clerks to lie down on the floor, the male robber fled on foot.

Curtis was arrested on December 4 by the Shelby County Sheriff's Department. He is charged with armed robbery.

Olive Branch police say the weapon used in the robbery was tied to another crime, which lead to Curtis' capture.

"The gun used in the case was somewhat unique and had tied into another crime," Presley said.

The investigation then led to Mitchell. Investigators believe she conspired with Curtis in the robbery, but they're not sure to what extent.

Mitchell is also known as "Lady Boo" in the world of rap music. Most commonly associated with the Memphis-based group Three 6 Mafia, Mitchell was an original member in the early 1990's.

Mitchell turned herself in to Olive branch authorities Tuesday after a warrant was issued for her arrest. She was released on $100,000 bond, and will appear in court on January 5.

Curtis was extradited from Memphis and booked Wednesday into the DeSoto County Jail on $100,000 bail.""

(WTF?)

Koopsta Knicca

"In 2006, Cooper was arrested for aggravated robbery of friend and Memphis rapper Justin "Lil' J" Thurman, whom Cooper held at gunpoint and demanded $7000. This occurred the same night his former group Three 6 Mafia won the Best Original Song Academy Award for It's Hard out Here for a Pimp, from the movie Hustle & Flow. [3]"

Crunchy Black

"According to an article in Ozone Magazine[cite this quote], Crunchy Black said that half of the songs used for Three 6 Mafia's last album Most Known Unknown were originally for his album and he was not getting paid for it. He stated that he had to pay for his own travel and hotel expenses, he was not allowed to go into business meetings with his lawyer, and that Three Six Mafia was behind shady business practices with his money. Crunchy Black's debut solo album from Three 6 Mafia entitled On My Own was released on September 19, 2006 Crunch said this was not his album. Crunchys second solo album From Me To U was put out without his permission. Crunchy is not signed to any record label."

All these rappers need to take classes on proper money management for real!

DJ Paul's solo from this year was somewhat dark. not Mystic Stylez dark, but it was still a throwback effort. Juicy J's album is another story.

Nope, that rumor was debunked when she released Enquiring Minds 2. She's still gangsta, maybe a little too gangsta for her own good.

This is what happens when keeping it real goes wrong.

Infamous is doing better than his compatriots but at least it's been finally explained while he was no longer with the group.

"DJ Paul's solo from this year was somewhat dark. not Mystic Stylez dark, but it was still a throwback effort. Juicy J's album is another story."

DJ Paul was always the darker of the two.

I do miss my Triple Six shit.
