I'll keep this review short. This is challenging music. You haven't heard anything like this. This album has some of the most diverse production in all of music, let alone hip-hop. Dalek (the MC) raps about issues ranging from religion and politics to racism and the death of hip-hop with a unique flow and delivery. I honestly think that this is one of the best albums of the decade. "Black Smoke Rises" is horror. "Forever Close My Eyes" is beauty. If you want to hear something different, and I mean really different, then check this album out, but be careful.

Rating : 10/10

What did you think of Black Smoke Rises? The first time I heard it, I was like what the fuck...... I'm a big fan of what they did with that track now. Basically spoken word over high pitched drones with a nightmarish atmosphere.......a test of any listener's patience. But dope IMO

Also, here's how I rank the dalek discog:

1. From Filthy Tongue of Gods and Griots
2. Abandoned Language
3. Gutter Tactics
4. Absence
5. Negro Necro Neckros

Just want to add that Abandoned Language has recently become a 5 star album for me.

I can't get into Dalek even though I like obscure stuff.
