I agree that quote worthy does not equal "deep"..there is much more to the equation than that

Not really sure what is meant by "deep". It could literally mean a 1000 different things. There really can't be many "wrong" answers here. It's all opinion, so I'll just explain my reasoing for each...

Scarface vs. Immortal Technique
I'll go Scarface. Immortal Technique is more of a revolutionary. He's more detached from his material where Scarface spits about shit closer to home and about his life. However, IT's rhymes/messages do eek their way into your mind. It's a tough call.

Pac vs. Mos Def
Pac in a landslide for the pure emotion. Not saying Mos ain't deep though.

Cube vs. Chuck D
Both are very deep, but I'll go Chuck D for his teaching skills. The man makes me think. I find his material a bit more mind provoking.

Vinnie Paz vs. Bushwick Bill
Ah, not really too up on Vinnie Paz. I've heard a few JMT albums, but I wouldn't say I know them well.

Nas vs. Gift Of Gab
Hmmm, interesting matchup. Gift Of Gab, because his lyrics/rhymes can be so unique and thought provoking, as well as emotional. Though in this case, Nas has just as much going for him in other areas. Depends on one's definition of "deep".

Andre 3000 vs. Khujo
It's a toss up for me. I could make solid arguments for both. Khujo has had some extremely deep moments on wax. Possibly deeper than Andre at his his deepest. Hard to say.

K Rino vs. GZA
Going with K-Rino. Though it's a toss up IMO.

RZA vs. Wise Intellingent
Wise...cause he's spits deep from within his soul. But I could see an argument for RZA easily.

Ras Kass vs. Common
I'm not up on Ras as much as Common, eh....not really big on either.

Killah Priest vs. Rakim
Priest by a mile. By most definitions of "deep" IMO.

Brother J vs Melle Mel
Brother J. By a longshot IMO.

Paris vs. Sadat X
Paris...bot not by much IMO.

Canibus vs. Pharoahe Monche
Monche. But really, I'm not up on Canibus much cause I never really got into him after hearing his first two albums. I know people say his other shit's better, but I never got around to it....

Talib Kweli vs. Brother Ali
Damn, extremely close. It's a toss-up, but I'm going with my hometown choice, Brother Ali. Dude speaks the truth from the depths of his soul. But I suppose one could say the same about Talib. And they'd be right.

Killer Mike vs. Black Thought
Black Thought. But I'm not much of a fan of Killer Mike.

Overall, the one's I consider "deep" here are the intelligent, conscious, often times political/protest rappers, or rappers that rhyme with their heart on their sleeve with intense emotion. An argument can be made for complex rhyme schemes, but overall that doesn't rank as high as the aforementioned traits IMO.
