As these albums have gotten older, how would you rate them? Are they still holding down the ranking you initially gave them?

9th Wonder/Buckshot-"The Formula"
Nas "Untitled"
Atmosphere "When Life Gives you Lemons"
Muggs/Asia "Pain Language"
Marco Polo/Torae "Double Barrel"
Invincible "Shapeshifters"
Akrobatik "Absolute Value"

We'll do more later, as for my thoughts:

"The Formula"-4.25-One of my favorites from 08 still holding up strong.
"Untitled"-4.25-Another fav from 08. Would make my top 5 in Nas' catalogue behind Illmatic, It Was Written, Lost Tapes, Stillmatic.
"Lemons"-4.0-Atmosphere is always hit and miss with me. I dig this one, Slug is one of the best storytellers out there.
"Pain Language"-4.25-Dark beats from Muggs really steal the show here. Asia does a solid job.
"Double Barrel"-4.0-This one has dropped just a bit for me. Still dope though.
"Shapeshifters"-3.75-I overhyped this one at first i think. Still a dope album and "Locusts" is a classic track.
"Absolute Value"-4.0-Love this album, i need to check out his other solos.

Akrobatik IN MY OPINION sounds like a mixture of Busta and Xzibit...he needs a new style

as for that album I wasn't overly fond of it to begin with...I gave it 3.5 stars out the gate but now it's dropped down to 3 stars for me

Hey Kev you need to put down those cancer sticks man giving The Formula 3.5 stars???

Absolute Value is a better album than The Formula. Both are dope, But Akro outrhymed Buck on those respected efforts IMO.

9th Wonder/Buckshot-"The Formula"- 4- 4.25 (dope cd, not classic. 'Ready (Brand New Day) is one of my favorite songs for 2008)

Nas "Untitled"- 3.5-3.75 (it lost replay value for me, don't really bump it much anymore)

Atmosphere "When Life Gives you Lemons"- 4.25 (I love this cd, but there were a couple of skip songs for me. Great story telling on here. Dope packaging, love the short story)

Muggs/Asia "Pain Language"- 4.25 (dope album)

Marco Polo/Torae "Double Barrel"- 3.75 (cool boom bap album, nothing special)

Invincible "Shapeshifters"- don't own

Akrobatik "Absolute Value"- 4 (dope album by AK. Need to bump the album again soon, it's been a long minute)

Nas' Untitled is still 5 stars IMO, the best album of 2008. I ordered the Marco Polo/Torae album today, so hopefully it'll be in the mail this week.

9th Wonder/Buckshot-"The Formula"- About 4 or 4.25 stars. Fell a little bit.

Nas "Untitled"- 4.75 stars. I guess a personal classic

Atmosphere "When Life Gives you Lemons"- 4 stars. About where I started with it.

Muggs/Asia "Pain Language"- 4.5 stars. About the same.

Marco Polo/Torae "Double Barrel"- 4 stars. Dropped a tad.

Invincible "Shapeshifters"- Just under 5 stars. I had it right at 5 for a while, but it gets semi-repetitive. Still a personal classic

Akrobatik "Absolute Value"- 4.25.

Akro is the only one that lost steam for me. I never gave Pain Language the spins it deserved.
I stand clear of all Atmosphere albums. My Invicible album dissapeared before I could really spin it. Never heard Double barrel. Nas and 9th/Buck get spun regu;arly
