| Personal classic for me but its not a 5 star album. I have it at about 4.5-4.75. There's one or two trks keeping it from that 5 stars. Where's the poll Wayne? ( ) |

| This guy falls on (my) deaf ears...
I honestly don't know what the hoopla surrounding him was ever about.
I've tried to get into his music, but it simply does nothing for me.

| Hmm... This is a personal classic to me. Great beats and great lyrics. People seem to be bothered by the constant name dropping, but it doesn't do anything negative for me. 5 Stars to me. | |

| Not a big fan of dudes rhymes, I always buy his albums mostly on the production. But The Documentary was a great breath of fresh air the time it came out. 4.5/5 | |

I've tried to get into his music, but it simply does nothing for me. Couldn't have said it better. He sounds too much like a Nas impersonator with a deep voice equilivant to how much Gorrila Blak sounds like Biggie. And some of his metaphors sounds like shit Chino Xl be dropping. Overall he ain't got no talent. I prefer YukMouth to him and I don't even like YukMouth. Game is a case of a marketable artist showing up at the right time. There are far superior artist on the west coast like Myka 9. People need to get their heads out their arses and listen.

| I agree with you Trot that Game was a very marketable artist and just cashed in at the right time. Snoop had slipped and was mostly for the older generation, Cube was doing movies, and Dre was MIA. Game had nothing but air and opportunity.
I also agree that his beats and hooks carry his albums more so than his lyrics but his lyrics are nothing to take for granted imo. I guess I like Game the same reason some folks like Rick Ross because he knows how to pick beats and make albums. I do not like Rick Ross at all nor do I get what others see in him but I guess that works both ways. |
