| Who has the best "debut" verse out of these three rappers. The criteria is they have to be on another persons album and even if it is not the rappers actual first verse, it is the verse that exposed them to the mainstream and/or a wider audience.
here are the volume 1 nominees:
AZ on "Lifes A Bitch" from Illmatic Big L on "Represent" off Runaway Slave Nas on "Live at the BBQ" from Breaking Atoms
Most of you are going to say L's first appearance was on Lord Finesse's "Yes You May Remix" but that was only a b-side and since it never appeared on an album "Represent" is the song that is being nominated

| AZ in a tight one over Nas. AZ's verse on Life's a Bitch is an all time favorite. | |

| Not sure if it was his debut verse, but Killer Mike's verse on Snappin' & Trappin' was a head turner for this listener... | |

Well let's see Steve. Nas has sold over 12 million albums in the US (which is more than AZ and Big L COMBINED) and is widely considered one of the Top 5 MC's of all time. So yeah, I'd say he's a HUGE star! |

| nope, eminem is a huge star, wayne is a huge star, jayz is a huge star, pac is a huge star, biggie is a huge star, etc.
nas is 2nd tier easily...not skill wise necessarily, but star wise. |

| The Game is a bigger star than Nas. Young Jeezy is probably a bigger star too. | |

GTFOH Terry, those two don't have the street cred that Nas does. There's more to being a star than record sales. When it's all said and done, nobody's gonna recognize Game or Jeezy as the greatest rapper of all time, yet many people bring Nas' name up in such conversations. |

So under your definition, Rakim, KRS-One, and Big Daddy Kane aren't huge STARS either. Nas has more record sales than all three of them. Stars have noteriety, which is something Nas and the three MC's I just named all have. |

| Okay, NO. You are WRONG. no fucking random ass dude knows KRS, Rakim, etc.
Do they know Jay-Z? Eminem, etc.? Yes. You are being fucking stupid KJ, for real. no one is dissing their skill as a rapper or status in the game AT ALL, but nas is NOT A STAR. |

Jay and Em might be bigger STARS, but Nas is a STAR as are Rakim and KRS. Just like Lebron and Kobe are bigger STARS than say, KG and Iverson, but they're STARS as well. |

| That Big L verse blows Nas' out of the water. AZ's is even rougher. Anyone voting for Nas is on some sack (except Wayne, we already know. JK) | |
