Who's Better? Part 4

?

This one's close but I'll take Havoc. Both are in my Top 20 though.

Gotta go with Havoc. One of my favorite producers. His 90's beats were nothing but fire, and even today they're still dope

Muggs has a more diverse soundscape overall.

Havoc in his prime was probably better but muggs has been dope for 20 years so i'll go with him

Muggs is probably better, but I listen to way more ish with the Havoc stamp.

Havoc is in my top 5, so he's my pick.

Going with Muggs...The longetivity of his career-his footprints bigger in Hip-Hop

I dig Muggs a bit more myself.

Not only that, Muggs trained the Alchemist along with DJ Premier. He helped develop one of the best producers in the game.

Smh... everyone has basically said Muggs is better... but Havoc has two albums you guys really love.

I don't love those albums.

I voted Muggs, because he has more classics and is FAR AND AWAY more consistent. And diverse. Oh, and he's been around longer. OH, and his discography in any given time frame is longer and better. So yeah, just in every fucking category. Just better. Period. Those are FACTS.

Havoc and quite EASILY too....

Muggs is very dope and has done more than a few joints I enjoy but Havoc is just straight up ridiculous...dude's track record for incredible beats is matched by the elite only..i.e. Pete Rock, Premier, Marley Marl, Dr.Dre, RZA, etc..etc...

Havoc wins here comfortably....

Nuff respect to Muggs and all that he has accomplished throughout his long career but IMO he can't not fuck with Pete Rock...Marley Marl.....Dr.Dre.....RZA...Premier...or Havoc...as well as Dilla or Da Bomb Squad to name a few...again IMO.....he is not on there levels even with "Jump Around"...shit the Pete Rock (remix) was better than the original IMO.....but Muggs is very dope..don't get it twisted...but he's not on those guys levels...because then I'm going to have to start naming every Pete Rock...or Marley Marl..or Premier..etc..etc..banger and that shit could take all damn day....lol

Powell, cats like Pete Rock, Dre, Premier, RZA, Marley are on another level. in Havoc's career, which has spanned over 15 years, he's only produced 2 classic albums, and he's not any more innovative than Muggs. Muggs has at least 2 classic albums, and IMO he has more than that. Not to mention the classic singles. I'm not seeing how Havoc wins easily. I can understand personal preference, but even with that Muggs' credentials speak for themself. Outside of The Infamous, Hell on Earth, and Murda Muzik, what has Havoc done that compares with the rest of Muggs' career?

Agreed Terry...those dudes are next level and I don't think Havoc is on their respective levels..but I do think personally he's better than Muggs...his beats on The Infamous alone puts him ahead of Muggs IN MY OPINION and when you add on the stuff he did on Hell On Earth and his beats used for Quiet Storm and Get Away well then he's surpassing Muggs by even more again IN MY OPINION......

Havoc looks way of place on that list IMO. He as well as Muggs does not compare to those legends.

I still say Muggs gets it rather easily...

He is out of place on the list Pounds...but IMO he's on that list because he's better than Muggs to me...that was the point..lol

That is classic, it's the only album in GZA's discog I compare to Liquid Swords.

The Production on Pain Language may be even better than Grandmasters. You should peep that if you haven't already. Planet Asia isn't on GZA's level, but the beats carry Planet Asia to classic levels IMO.
