This album is right up there in the top 5 for me. I would give Goodie Mob "Soul Food" & a couple Outkast albums the edge first though...

Face has an album or two that i like more. Kast has two albums i like more. I may also like Soul Food more too. Truth be told, a lot of people don't think this is UGK's best album. I certainly can't fault anyone for thinking this is the best, but it's not my fav.

Falls somewhere in the top 10 Southern albums for me. I can't put it ahead of "Atliens", "Soul Food", "The Ressurection", "Somethin Serious", or even "Southernplayalistic". It's right there with "Mr. Scarface is Back" to me.

Nappy Roots, Outkast, Cunninlynguists, and Scarface all have better albums. But Ridin Dirty is definitely up there. Those long ass skits attached to the songs don't help. And, the Fuck My Car song plain sucks.

Ridin Dirty is cornerstone of Southern Hip-Hop and in my top 5.

Personally I don't see southernplayalistic, somethin serious, or dare I say even Resurrection beating it. I just don't see. Coming close but naw.

I'm not a CL fan myself, but a lot of people dig them so I threw them in there. Hell, I'd put Odd Squad, Jim Crow, Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz, Poison Clan, and 10 other groups on that list as well, honestly.

i mostly agree with myers, LB is a dope group but are definitely overrated by their fans, and their also overrated by underground heads who just believe everything from the south is bad except groups like LB and CL

I don't disagree with any of that KJ. I was just explaining my point of view as to why you think LB is hated on. I don't hate on them at all. In all honesty, they have a legit gripe to be included in the top 10 southern groups due to their strong discog. When people include LB in the top 3, it comes across as a lack of knowledge of southern hip hop.

KJ you know I got luv for LB but I think a lot of their props and overating comes from their east coast sound or should I say east coast compatibility. Nothing about LB is traditional southern sounding, nothing.

The same way you feel about LB is the same way I feel about Cormega. I think he's a good MC but he's not among NY's elite like many in here think he is. The Realness is dope but it's not a consensus classic like Illmatic, Paid In Full, Criminal Minded, Ready To Die, Reasonable Doubt, etc.

I agree with what you said about Ridin Dirty. As for LB, you're right about them not sounding like traditional southern MC's, but that's EXACTLY what I like most about them besides their subject matter. I think a lot of southern hip-hop fans resent them for that. They're definitely not wack MC's, it's just that they're different from the rest of the pack.
