| I just wanted to do this thread on two artists I've been listening to a lot recently, and they would be 50 Cent and T.I.
I've been a fan of 50 since the "How To Rob" days, and although this man has his detractors, I enjoy his music, and that's what counts.
Power Of The Dollar (If only this album was officially released, however, this is one of very few albums that I have downloaded and burned, and it's just as good, IF not better than the next album I'm going to mention. 4.5 stars for this one.)
Get Rich Or Die Tryin (One of the best albums of 2003, one hell of an official debut album, and without a doubt his best, although that may be challenged by POTD. I bought this album on the Friday the week it came out, so unfortunately I didn't get the bonus CD or DVD that came with it. This is the one I play the most out of his discography, respectively, and I still like it as much as I did when it first came out. 4.5 stars)
The Massacre (I bought this when it first came out in March 2005 and this is one that took a while to grow on me. I wouldn't consider it a sophomore jinx in any form, even though it's not better than GRODT. 4 stars for this one)
Curtis (Slightly disappointing, but nowhere near wack. "I Get Money" is one of my top 5 favorite 50 songs. I still don't care too much for "AYO Technology" though, lol. 3.5 stars)
Before I Self Destruct (I was surprised by this album, and I find myself liking it more on each listen. "Death To My Enemies", "Psycho", "So Disrespectful", "Gangsta Boogie" are just a few of my favorites on this, definitely his 2nd best IMO. 4 stars)
It goes without saying that I'm anticipating the "Black Magic" album.
I've been back and forth on T.I. over the years, and deep down I've liked his hit singles, even I wouldn't bring myself to buying his albums..... until that changed last year. Backed by some superior production, great lyrics, and subject matter, this guy shines on the mic, and I still can't believe how long I slept on him.
Trap Muzik (Awesome album here, and it is my favorite from T.I. I'm actually torn on the rating for this one, but I'm close to 5 stars for this album.)
Urban Legend (Another great album. I recently played this one and "You Don't Know Me" is one of my favorite songs from him. I played that joint at least 7 times last week. 4 stars for this one.)
King (More awesomeness here. King Back, Front Back, featuring one of my favorite hip hop duos in UGK, and Top Back are just a few of my favorites from this album. 4.5 stars for right now, but that may change.)
T.I. vs. T.I.P. (I may like this album more than some, but I definitely feel it. 4 stars)
Paper Trail (Another great album, and one of the best from 2008. Swagga Like Us and Swing Ya Rag are 2 of my favorites here. 4.5 stars.)
Man, did this guy have hit songs on each of his albums or what. Now, I don't own the "I'm Serious" album, and based on the clips I've heard, I'm not too impressed, but I *may* give it another chance. It also goes without saying that I'm anticipating "King Uncaged" and it's August 17th release date.
I just thought I'd share my thoughts with you all! |

| I like I'm serious... that was my first TI album back when it dropped. It is a bit misguided at times, especially with the forced commercial singles, but overall a good album IMO. I just recently heard TI v. TIP and it is not as bad as people say, but it has to me like 7-8 classic TI tracks and the rest of the album is very lackluster and poppy. |

T.I. vs. T.I.P. certainly isn't as bad as people say, you're right about that. |

| Other than GROTD, Guess Who's Back is my favorite work from 50. I am definitely not a fan of TI Vs TIP, but I still have to play Help Is Coming every now and then. That's my favorite track from that CD. Good assessments Wayne. | |

| I'm not a huge fan of TI vs. TIP, but it has it's moments. The rest of TI's discog is money in the bank though. I got high hopes for his new album. Paper Trail is a classic IMO. 50's cool too. | |

Thanks Highsmith. I was actually thinking of doing this for a while now. |

Money in the bank indeed Terry. I recently played Paper Trail and I'm on the verge of labeling it a classic also. |
