God i can't wait for the Hawks to lose this series so you will shut up. The game was barely half over when you created this thread. You are by far the worst winner i have ever come across in my entire life. What's funny is that you have no leg to stand on. In all of your years of loving Atlanta sports teams, how many rings does the entire city have? Braves? Hawks? Falcons? Thrashers? You haven't earned the right that Spurs, Bulls, Cowboys, 49ers, Patriots, Red Sox, Yankees, Red Wings, Lakers, Celtics, Steelers fans have.

Again, keep living in the past.

No they aren't. Until they play a team that doesn't suck, they're still overrated to me. They get to play two of the 3 worst teams in the playoffs, and everyone says they're the best in the league.

How are the Magics overrated exactly? What seed are they? Were they in the finals last year? Do they have the best Center in basketball? Do they have a PG playing out of his mind right now? For what it's worth, I also think Van Gundy is the best coach in that conference. Atlanta may be overrated. Cleveland may be overrated. I just don't see how Orlando is overrated

Howard can be the best center in basketball. But, he never touches the ball. When they play a team that is offense heavy (Cleveland), they have to get him the ball. If they don't, they will get stomped.

How did that work out against Cleveland last year?

Check the stats. Howard is avering 14 PPG during these playoffs. He was over 20 PPG last year. His minutes are down almost 10 per game this year, and he's averaging 4 less boards per game. That's why it worked last year.

Those numbers are due in large part to blowouts and his foul trouble in rd 1. It's not like Howard has magically regressed. I could understand you saying they are overrated if they struggled against Charlotte or Atlanta, but they've sort of dominated those teams.

smh. That doesn't take away from the fact that Howard has had less offensive touches than he's used to. Not just in the playoffs, either. It's been happening since the All Star Break. He probably hasn't regressed as a player, but it seems that his team has when it comes to getting him the ball.

Um, Do you know what their record has been over the last 41 games of the season? The team has become less dependant on Howard. It doesn't mean they won't lean on him when they need to. Howard will be there when they need him.

The Magics are better than they were last year. Howard's numbers are down because they have been taking care of business early or he has been fouling out. The talent level is better than it was last year...make no mistake.

I agree with Shaun on this one. They haven't been challenged yet and that's why I'm not sold on them. Although I admit i did not expect that Hawks to just roll over and die like they did.
