I guess that's a fair comparison. Both Memento and Funcrusher Plus are great, but neither are all time greats IMO.

I'd say The Shawshank Redemption is the Illmatic of American Film.

Maybe not to your stupid ass, but the vast majority of the world considers both Illmatic and The Shawshank Redemption all time greats.

A baseless claim. When are you going to learn that statements like 'vast majority of the world' are complete useless in intelligent discussion. For example, produce evidence that its true. You can't.

You'll probably get mad, which is unfortunate. I'd hate to see you miss out on a teachable moment.

lmao @ vast majority of the world. You realize that there's more than 6 billion people in the world, and a vast majority of that would be like 4.5 billion? It's funny because 4.5 billion people probably haven't heard Illmatic or seen Shawshank Redemption

Your opinion means nothing to me. Illmatic is a GOAT album and Shawshank is a GOAT movie. If you dislike them, it just shows that your taste sucks.

When is tha last time you learned something? I mean really learned something new, and relevant?

This documentary goes along way to decode our financial crisis and the way it's being "handeled". I hope at least one person sits through this here.

Im open to everything...i consider everything..but at the end of the day im still a madd sceptic...reason why i stopped buying into religion.- chasing the truth can be life consuming...but with a fight comes results, some of the time. You can never really trust, to the fullest, any politician, or other people for that matter--were designed with flaws and born to create them...if you want a better job done-- do something.

Random and totally unrelated, but...

Anyone seen Boondock Saints? Is it any good? I saw it at Target. $9.99 on Blu Ray and I've always been curious.

Someone let me know.

It's dec, but the directing is really weird and the story telling device is kind of strange. It's really an over-rated film overall, but worth seeing...I don't know about owning.

Being completely honest, Mr. Nobody is as good as those two movies. There's no action element to it, though. You should dl it, KJ.

As good as Dark Knight and Inception? That's pretty high praise. I like dramas as much as action flicks so I'll download it sometime.

With all the time I spend on here it may be hard to believe, but I've been too busy to see Inception. I have to see it tomorrow. It might be gone next week.

Anything coming out in Q3 that you guys are pumped for?

It's still #1 at the box office after almost a month, so it's not going anywhere anytime soon.

I'm pumped for The Expendables. I'm gonna go see that next weekend when it debuts.

Finally saw Inception. IMAX. Fucking great. Nolan has yet to make a bad film. Film of the year right now, although this year sucks overall.

First, in reply to your other post...Yeah, I'd rec d/l'ing it first. Personally, it's one of my 3 favorite movies (along with Snatch and Saving Private Ryan). It is different, and I agree with Jeff that the storytelling device is a little weird.

Some parts are funny as hell though. And Willem Defoe in that movie is >>>>>>.

I finally saw Martyrs, that was thoroughly fucked up. Worse than Frontiers although the two were similar somewhat. Personally I'd rather die than go out like that. It's rare to find horror of this caliber.

Both films were a part of the second volume of the After Dark Horrorfest.

Frontiers- some youngins escaping the city end up at a hotel run by Nazis who proceed to capture and torture their ass.

Martyrs- honestly, see it for yourself. I can't really tell you about it without ruining it. In a nutshell chick escapes some psychos, havoc follows.

LOL at the first one. Is it modern day?

Both are modern films. And Frontiers is another reason I stay out the sticks. That's why we built cities manne!

I finally saw Martyrs, that was thoroughly fucked up. Worst than Frontiers although the two were similar somewhat. Personally I'd rather die than go out like that.

I haven't heard of either of those, what are they about?
