Just saw Ted last night. I thought it was hilarious, but i'm not a movie snob so take that for what it's worth.

I was thinking about the movie Children Of Men. Not having a child born in 17 years on the whole planet Earth. IDK if it will be all that chaotic. I'm like people would be fuckin' like rabbit. Women wont have pms if they're unable to produce offspring. Men wont havta worry about putting one in the oven. It may be paradise

For reals?! I was wondering why everything about it seemed quiet lately. Hopefully it will be far superior to the first one, since we have to wait. I'd hate to be waiting while they're just polishing a turd.

Yeah, i've heard they pulled it for re-shoots because of Channing Tatum's other succesful movies this year. Supposedly, Duke was going to die in this movie, but the changed their minds now. I've also heard it was postponed until March to do a #d conversion so who the hell knows. It sucks cause this one looked to be light years better than Rise of Cobra.

Yeah, I found an article that said that's why they pushed it back. Guess I have a long wait now.

Oh my bad man. Here's Django Unchained's teaser trailer:

Also excited for this, but of course experience tells me that the trailer is not giving the full story.

Well I'll be seeing The Dark Knight Rises tomorrow in IMAX... I guess I'll share my spoiler-free impressions here afterward.

I'm guessing you guys all heard about the tragedy in Colorado this morning, that is crazy. I guess it's just a reminder that no place is truly safe. Hopefully the rest of the wounded are alright and there are no more deaths.

Apparently this trailer was one of the trailers before the movie... pretty messed up to think about what happened to the audience not too long afterward:

There's a new ninja turtles ?

I recently watched:

21 jump street -terrible film, but apparently better if you've seen the o.g. ? but still....

Battleground -b grade thriller, maybe even c grade... not an all out bad movie but really not good either. Hilarious when he did the Kill Yo Self game though.

Cleanskin - pretty damn good film that, recommended to watch if given the chance well worth ya time.

Yes, the Bay TMNT. The last transformers movie was dope and I think TMNT could have also been some brainless fun. I enjoy the franchise very much and think it would be awesome to see them get some widescreen fun for once instead of the typical small shot fight scenes.

THey said during ComicCon on Spike that there's a new animated TMNT feature underway.

I hope Bay doesn't get his filthy fucking dickbeaters on another of my childhood memories.

That is the Bay film, which was supposed to coincide with the new animated series on Nickelodeon.

Also, the reason the GI Joe movie was pushed back was because it tested very poorly, with Channing and Rocky's on screen chemistry being the highlight of the movie...uh, I won't spoil the movie, but yeah, I think they have to re-shoot some stuff, or re-edit the hell out of it. I'd post a link to support this, but spoilers are in the link's title.

And wah, Parker, wahhhhh. We've had this discussion. Apparently you expected Shakespeare from a movie about transforming robots starring Shia Labeouf, directed by Mike Bay. Dark of the Moon is one of my favorite movies from the last 5 years.

YOu're right... I shouldn't have expected anything more than garbage from Bay & LaPoof. But, now I'd like them both to stop fucking with the stories I've loved for decades.

I like that track Jeff. Got a few up, or just the one?

I'm excited for The Hobbit, but three movies is unnecessary. I thought two would be perfect, that way they could have some more detail on The Battle of Five Armies...three is just greedy excess.

Bill Burr: You People Are All The Same:
Exclusively on Netflix, one of the top names in stand-up delivers a gut-busting set. I saw him working this material in Philly... my only complaint is the editing. If a comedian has 2 hours of killer, why chop that shit to an hour? But, if you didn't see this show live, you'll never miss what's cut. Hilarious.

Donald Glover: Weird
You can watch it all in one piece on YouTube. Do that. This is a funny dude. If you're a fan from Childish Gambino or Community you'll like his stand-up. Not that he's doing those characters, but if you like that stuff, then you get what this kid's all about. I would criticize that some of his views are a little ignorant, but I'll chalk it up to youth. Watch this for some funny.

God Bless America:
Also available on Netflix, Goldthwait's newest exposition into social commentary... which is basically the role of the comedian in the first place. After 'World's Greatest Dad' and 'Sleeping Dogs Lie', Bobcat writes his most directly scathing criticism of our broken culture to date. I can't wait to see what he comes up with next.

Raid:Redemption
Just released on DVD, I've been waiting on this Indonesian martial arts fest for quite a bit now. Worth the wait. The most intense fight choreography I've seen in a long time, if not ever. Think Ja with lots of knife-work. As with any great action flick, unbelievability and glaring lapses-in-logic abound. I highly recommend.

Spacehunter:
Snatched this off Amazon for under $10 to relive some childhood. Glad I did, pretty dope production for B-movie sci fi. The vehicles & costumes are actually very cool, and all the corny, accidental humor is right on time. Check this out if you're not familiar. A pre-John-Hughes Molly Ringwald co-stars.

I also saw Dark Knight Rises. I thought it was decent, I guess there's not a whole lot that could be done after DK. This is a worthy follow up and cap to the series.

I'm actually pretty interested to see what Nolan's got in store for Superman. I wish he'd get the Punisher.

I really enjoyed TDKR. Easily the best film I've seen this year. I still think Batman Begins is the best of the trilogy though.

For Man of Steel he's only a producer and writer, I think Zak Snyder (of 300, Watchmen fame) is directing it.

Yeah I saw it in theaters, awesome action flick. You should check out Merantau, another film by the same director and it stars many of the same actors (the main character is played by the same actor as the main character in The Raid). It's not as intense action-wise, it's much more story-driven. It's on Netflix Instant.

I saw The Raid: Redemption on Netflix a my buddy's a few weeks ago. Fight scenes were insane, but there were no subtitles so the plot was a little hard to follow. I'd definitely watch it again

Nah, they actually didn't give the option. He'd watched it a couple times before and said he searched all over the program for subtitles and couldn't find them. It was pretty simple to follow, until they started getting intO the plot twists. I don't think the dialogue is too important in a film like that, but there seemed to be more going on than the action suggested.

They had the same deal with the Vengeance Trilogy for awhile. I think it might be distribution stipulations. Raid's been out overseas for a while but just got American DVD this week. Maybe they couldn't put English to it until then.

DKRises was plenty good. Just a few parts bugged me.

The whole 'I knew you were Batman because orphans can't keep secrets from each other' shit was retarded. They could've brought them together more believably.

Bane was only so-so to me as a villain. Maybe I can't see past Ledger, but dude was just basic. Should've been more of the Catwoman. She was great, well-developed with natural exposition.

Aside from the extended lull in the middle, these are my only criticisms.

Half, anybody actually, you need to check out God Bless America.

I've been anticipating God Bless America for awhile, so I'll probably check that out tonight.

The Campaign is the funniest fucking movie I've seen in years. Highly recommended. And I despise Will Ferrell.

I'm excited for The Hobbit, but three movies is unnecessary. I thought two would be perfect, that way they could have some more detail on The Battle of Five Armies...three is just greedy excess.

They're going to drag this out over 3 movies for real?

TDKR was good but not better than DK to me.
I felt denied not having the ladies fight. I was just waiting for that.

It's the only work Peter Jackson can get, so of course he's going to stretch it out over three god fucking awful movies.

Three movies IS an obvious money grab, but based on the cast and what he was able to do with the LOTRs I think they will still be more than watchable. Especially if your a fan of the subject matter.
