They were not bad. The 1st one was great, Two Towers was a little campy, but still cool, and Return of the King was excellent despite having 12 consecutive endings lol.

i liked LOTR. I just know the Hobbit isn't nearly as long.

You'd think these success of LOTR would've proven Peter's potential.

Can't believe Mel Gibson is still doing movies. Get The Gringo. A White man goes to a third world country and kicks everybodies ass, gets a fine ass chick, becomes a father figure to a little brown boy. Ah , where have I seen this before?

It's about some whiny middle aged loser who watches tv all night and gets pissed at the stupidity he sees so he decides to start killing people. He meets the most annoying unbelievable chararcter in film, who is a teenage girl obsessed with violence, and teams up with her to kill more people instead of committing suicde as he should have done, and they kill people. They have some awkward sexual tension and at one point they stay together in a hotel room and the girl talks about how much she liked alice cooper (accepts alice cooper) and I don't know what happened after that because I turned the shit off. It's basically a vehicle to make social commentary that isn't profound at all and ultimately sounds like someone just whining about how shitty most people are while failing to realize that they themself are also a piece of shit. Social commentary delivered in the most forced dialogue I've heard in ages and with the most holier-than-thou attitude possible. Not thought provoking in any way. And sure I agree with a lot of the general ideas of the social commentary but I also have an imagination and the ability to turn off the tv/radio. If you hate the consumerism/bigotry/politics of modern media and social interaction why continually immerse yourself in it? And the entire premise of killing people because they are not living the "proper" way makes you a disgruntled person that can't deal with problems in a mature way, not some martyr for the free-thinking "civilized" people in this country. End of buzzed rant.

Nah, it's another Goldthwait project, though. Stars Robin Williams and the kid Rodriguez always uses. Williams' character finds his son dead from autoerotic asphyxiation. He fixes the scene and crafts a perfect suicide note that makes everyone fall in love with his asshole abusive bully kid.

He ends up using the situation to get published, pretending his work is his dead kid's. Pretty great movie.

Anyway, I saw Cabin In The Woods, very mediocre.

I'm excited to see these movies

Looper (it's been out for a while but I haven't had the chance to see it).
Argo
Seven Psychopaths
Skyfall
Lincoln
Man With The Iron Fists
Django Unchained

Cloud Atlans is good. They made a pretty good hybrid genre film and kept good pacing.

Looper is good but I found it predictable. Gordon does more for the film acting wise. I will be seeing Iron Fists next weekend.

I saw Pitch Perfect (2012) few weeks ago. Not normally the type of movie I would watch, in fact only watched it cos it has the Australian girl in it.. But for what it is though, it was ok. Wouldn't tell someone NOT to see it. Had a few funny moments.

Last night watched maybe the last half or 3/4 of Boys Don't Cry (1999)... Based on a true story. Didn't like the killing in it, however a movie that really made me think about how it could be for a homosexual person in society and the way they are or potentially could be treated, both in the past and in present times.

Night before I watch Casino Royale another one of them James Bondage films I never keep up with em all, but it was ok for some entertainment, although i sat there saying bullshit at half the action and chase on foot scenes. The Casino scenes were cool with the mind games going on.

I remember seeing Boys Don't Cry. That shit hit me pretty hard. I remember, for weeks afterward, just looking at random houses, wondering what kind of horrible, evil shit might be going down just on the other side of those walls. It still strikes me, time to time.

Dredd basically looks like the American remake of Raid:Redemption... plot-wise, at least.

Yeah it hit me kinda hard too, very well acted. It made me think about how someone who doesn't fit into the norms of society and it's systems may have no hope wherever they turn. It bothered me to think when translating it into real life, if in a descriminating environment that if they went to court, it seems like everyone would be almost automatically against them, judge, jury, police.

The Hangover III - 6/10 saw last night... movie revolves around the bearded mental guy.. whatever his name was.. bit of a laugh, but maybe not type of movie worth seein on the big screen imo.

I thought the same thing considering all of the hate that movie received in the beginning. I didn't care much for the soundtrack at some parts. I don't think rap music fit with it as much.

Oh, and I hated Sam L's character. His character had the potential to mess up the whole movie.

Interesting. I was told it was a zombie flick and my automatic prejudice against zombie movies was ready to view it. I'll admit, I didn't do any research on that movie for that sole fact. I'll have to watch it again with a different perspective.

Are you talking about Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter or Abraham Lincoln vs Zombies (the mockbuster trying to capitalize off the vamp flick)?

The Vampire Hunter movie was entertaining but not deep or anything like that. PL has an interesting analysis of the film though.

I won't mess with that mockbuster BS. I hate those things. There's not enough liquor in the world to make them good.

I forgot about that silly looking zombie one. The Conspirators is fairly recent (if I remember right), too. I think the Lincoln originally mentioned was the Day-Lewis film, though.

If you can deal with the goofiness of it one more time, watch ...Vampire Hunter again. This time consider that the vampires represent the Rothschilds and their ilk trying to dominate and control America.

I'm not working on anybody else's thesis here that I'm aware of. It just made perfect sense to me as I watched it.

Either way, it's still a severely shitty movie.

I just saw the new Texas Chainsaw movie (2013). A waste of time. Big movie mistake no.1, supposely there was a member of the sawyer family (a baby) that survived a raid on the family 's house which police and rednecks killed the entire family. (yes the events that happened in TCM 2 &3 need not apply here cause this an alternative sequel). Anywhoo, the raid happened in 1974, one of the peckerwoods came across a 1 year old child and took custody. The movie takes place in present time (apparent cause of the modern mosic people were jamming to in this film) yet the baby that was 1 years old in 1974 is clearly a hot chick in her early 20's living the care-free live of a young woman. She should he a 39 year old woman.

Movie mistake 2. Trey Songs is a actor in this flick

I can't believe you messed with that one. It sounds like it made the remake look like a masterpiece. I will admit of the remakes pf modern horror classics only Halloween and TCM were worth viewing. The rest were just okay. Nightmare on Elm Street was flaming hot garbage. It failed on so many levels.

The 2003 or 2005? remake of TCM was decent. This is suppose to be a sequel. In this flick they tried to make the Texas Chainsaw Massacre a good guy. Even though he killed all of the protagonist friends there was a part when she actaully saves him cause she found out that he was her cousin (spoiler)

I saw that movie some time ago. I think the Australian girl's name is Rebel Wilson. You're right, she MADE that movie. The rest of that movie was ass. The most cringe worthy part was when they sang Blackstreet's No Diggity.

I saw this documentary. It's 1 hr and 58 minutes long. If I didn't see the last segment of the movie I would have lost my mind.  The video quality is pretty bad. I'm going to see if I could find it for purchase.
