Its funny people are bashing Swizzy for being a one trick pony when Lil Jon is one of the biggest one trick pony's in the game. I'll take a Swizz beat over Lil Jon but not by much. Both are niche producers imo though.

Only a douche would say this. Lil Jon got his start producing beats that had west coast g funk written all over them, and continues to make at least one beat like this on his albums to this day. ALSO, Lil Jon brought techno influenced synths to crunk music, something previously unheard of. He makes rock beats, etc etc etc.

both of these dudes are "friendly" hip-hop producers...both have made some pop shit over the course of their respective careers...both have brought have some heat at some point throughout their careers too...

both are top 25 talents probably in that lower portion of the top 25 IMO


I'm going with Lil Jon just barely over Swizz....but their careers remind me of one anothers perfectly...they both had a point in time when they were residing on top of the game (a pretty short period for both dudes IMO)...neither has delivered consistently like a Pete Rock or a Preemo or a Marley in terms of being known MAINLY as a hip-hop producer....these guys do hip-hop...these guys do Beyonce...these guys do Ciara.....these guys do Styles P...these guys do Lil Scrappy
