| I was listening to Home Invasion yesterday. I realized that the only reason this album isn't more highly praised is the rest of Ice's catalog.
Some other albums that fall to this trap?:
Nas - It Was Written Tribe - Beats, Rhymes, & Life Roots - Tipping Point Ice Cube - Lethal Injection
Any more out there? | |

I don't know. That album is easily one of Ice-T's worst IMO. Here's a few I really dig that are always overlooked: Fu-Schnickens - Nervous Breakdown (4.75 stars) Arrested Development - Zingalamaduni (4 stars) Arrested Development - Among the Trees (4 stars) Arrested Development - Heroes of the Harvest (4.25 stars) Beastie Boys - To The 5 Boroughs (5 stars) Big Mike - Still Serious (4.5 stars) DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince - Code Red (4 stars) KRS-One - I Got Next (4 stars) Leaders Of The New School - T.I.M.E. (5 stars) Mantronix - In Full Effect (4 stars) Marley Marl - In Control Vol. 2 (4 stars)

Word man. I don't get all the hype around 3 Feet And Rising when this was far superior. Stakes Is High was quite good as well.

| Outkast-Stankonia, not my favorite but still a great album.
Common-Electric Circus, I think people are taken aback because of the divergence in sound but it's still a great album.

Don't Take It Personally". That one is really dope too, but I honestly like their sophomore album more. But overall, Fu-Schnickens, especially Chip-Fu, was underrated as hell! EXCELLENT list by the way! Nice pick with that De La Soul, UMC's, Slick Rock & OGC!!

I prefer their debut light years over their sophomore effort, but it's all good. I'm glad you're diggin my picks. I just got done spinnin OGC. It's dope as fuck! I wish them and Heltah Skeltah would get together for a Fab 5 album. That shit would be classic for sure! |

I know even Norfeest says their sophomore album "close to perfect"...sorry to speak for you Norf...lol...but yeah. I think what got me about that one are the singles and updated sound. I guess I dig "Breakdown" (my favorite Fu-Schnickens tune) more than "True Fu-Schnick". But still, I think they upped the production and rhyming on their sophomore album. I think they could have been one of the greats had they been moving in that direction and recorded more albums...what am I saying...they were always pretty novel. lol
