2 of the most classic disses ever released and the Cool J response wasn't even heard by many because they didn't want it out like that, RASTA IMPOSTA got in Canibus...2nd Round K.O. is a classic and so is that response....KRS-One and Cool J are some of the best battle emcees of all-time baby bubba...here's proof!

Canibus destroyed LL, plain and simple.

I think Canibus beat LL in the battle, but Canibus failed to follow up on that victory by releasing one of the worst debut albums in history.

See, you just disagreed with me and agreed with KJ and we said the same thing
I agree the debut was disappointing, he had all the makings of hip-hop's next star, but Wyclef (and his own musical retardation) fucked him. I think it ended up better for him, since he has released some truly great albums since then (Rip the Jacker, For Whom the Beat Tolls, and Melatonin Majik)

His debut was not that bad.

Actually I don't think Canibus won the battle Steve...I think it was a tie and Rasta Imposta is why I feel that way....I was agreeing with Kj about Canibus's first album...that shit was 2.5 stars to me...so I was agreeing with him there man....also regarding him and Cool J...I think that Cool J won the overall war, because IMO he killed Canibus's career as far as mainstream props went...Canibus was supposed to be the next big star until he battled Cool J...that certainly did not help his career like he thought it was...I mean it got to the point that he was saying he was sorry and everything man..Canibus went out like Lebron James when it was all said and done man!

Nah, his first album still went Gold, bad music is what killed him. The battle is what made him famous and people check for him, I think you might be remembering wrong.

I agree. Though I did find it somewhat disappointing. I guess after 2nd Round K.O., I had my expectations set too high.
