Well fair enough, but I was just saying if you're going to respond, have some substance. That would be like me, isntead of explaining my point, saying "yup, he sure did". Pretty condescending and not really moving the convo forward. |

To everybody's ears...there are maybe a dozen albums before 89 that don't sound like a middle school project. Shit was dope when it dropped, no doubt. Not now...

| I've heard shifts in Illogic's approach, but he's never reached a place to my ears where he brought together his lyrics, flow, and music in a completely satisfactory way. I still listen to Celestial Clockwork from time to time, because that's where he came the closest, but I've stopped checking out his stuff after Write to Death 2, and his flow has always sounded awkward to me. | |

| Right, I could see that. But again, where his earlier work suffered musically, his flow was probably more appealing to you. IMO Celestial Clockwork is probably a 4.5 album, and I like the direction he's taken thus far.
I don't know that he's done anything after Write To Death Vol 2? Aside from Greenhouse shit, which I don't check for anyway because I don't really care for Blueprint on the mic and that other dude is wack IMO. |

| Yeah, it's caled bias, and it's a bitch to get past. That Z-Ro album is better than the Mobb Deep album, and considering like 5 people on here have heard that Z-Ro album(not sure if you have or not) it couldn't and wouldn't be on most lists. | |

| I feel you Terry. These lists are based on what that particular person has as their personal Top 5 for that year. Mobb Deep may not be in his Top 5 but if he is going to laugh at it, then I am going to say something. I haven't heard any Z-Ro albums Terry. | |

| I agree with Highsmith. Amerikaz Nightmare is a dope album (4.25 stars) It'd make my Top 10 easily.
Not meaning to be a dick Kev, but you picked a 4 star album (A Taste Of Chocolate) for a year (1990) which boasted a ton of classics unlike this one. Now that my friend, is laughable!!! |
