No, 3 is not my lucky number (5 is, lol), but I just thought about this today, so I'd like to start a thread on it.

Lets try to name an album (or albums) from artists whose 3rd album was better than their first.

I cosign on all of these picks, with the exception of Outkast.

Aquemini is my favorite Outkast album, but I respect your opinion.

My favorite Kast album is definitely their classic 94 debut.

co sign some of these. PE's second was so dope ts hard to come up with a classic like it again but FOABP was very close ITANOMTHUB was so inovative When i 1st heard it i wasn't sure if it was truely as dope as it was or if i was being brainwashed by the trumpets in Show em wut ya got. Big Grin

Outkast's 1st is by far their best with a close follow up by the 3rd but southernplayalistic bef has better replay value.

And i don't really care for pac after strictly but erry1 already knows that.

Lol, if it's by far their best, how is Aquemini a close follow up?

That pretty much nails it. However I like Southernplayalistc a little more.
I would only add Cunninlynguists.

The reverse would be Goodie Mob.

You know Takes a Nation is not PE's first, right Yogi? Bumrush the Show crushes Black Planet, imo.

Co-sign 2Pac, Tribe and Gang Starr.

IMO (In Myestro's Opinion) the following also fit the category.

Snowgoons
Sweatshop Union
LL Cool J
Geto Boys (their self-titled album is my favorite by them)

That's all I can think of right now.
