Damn, 1994 may be my all time favorite year after compiling this list...

Huh, I am sort of surprised by the Soundgarden pick. Back in 1994, that was my favorite album...probably...I was still waffling then. I was hooked on the guitar solos and wide vocal ranges from Chris Cornell....it basically lead me to Metallica/metal in general, which I was obsessed with for many years to come.

So you picked the same from my list as Terry? Surprised you didn't include NOFX...I thought you were a fan, though I could be mistaken.

Anyway, damn, you got a lot of metal here. I never got into Megadeth despite the Metallica obsession (that may be in part of the fact I had only their worst (?) album "Cryptic Writings").

I'd consider Beastie Boys hip-hop, but I can see it as a crossover.

Pink Floyd? I'm a huge (like massive) Pink Floyd fan, but I may consider this to be their worst studio recording...lol...it is still a good record IMO though!

Never got too much into NIN, never was my thing really.

The Stone Temple Pilots was near classic to me back then....Big Empty, Interstate Love Song, Vasoline...classic cuts. But man, I never spin that record anymore. Sounds rather dated to me.

The Pearl Jam was my first PJ album and it may be the reason I never bought anymore until much later in life. Good record, but I only had 2 favorite jams on it (Spin The Black Circle & Better Man).

Never got into Portishead back in the day, but that was good album. Also, nice call on Alice In Chains, whit was nice. Dirt (from 1993) is a classic IMO, but I never actually owned this one. One of my buddies had the tape.

The Korn album is a good call. DEFINITELY classic to me back then. Along with their 2nd and 3rd albums (and possibly 4th). Damn though, I sold all those CDs a few years ago....some stuff just doesn't age with you. lol

those megadeth and pantera albums where the first to come to mind

The Pantera album is great. Youthanasia is dope too. who knew a "sober" Dave Mustaine could do that? I liked Korn's debut back then, but not so much now. I like STP, but only Core is their only classic IMO. Never really cared for NIN. That Pearl Jam album is ok, but again i'm not a huge fan. Pink Floyd's album is weak relatively speaking.

Yeah, a lot people dig Brandy. I just don't care for her as much as others. II, My Life and CrazySexyCool still gets tons of spins from me. I'll never grow tired of those albums. R. Kelly and Aaliyah's albums are great, but they are not on the same level as the other two IMO.

I can see why someone would say that about Aaliyah's debut because while it's classic IMO, One In A Million is clearly her best album. However, 12 Play is arguably R Kelly's best. I'm not sure how big of a Kells fan you are, but I bump that album as much as any of them on this list.

I own both of them, jabroni.

I got the debut at 4.5 (although I can see why some would rate it a classic) and Saturday Night at 3.5. I probably had it at 4 stars when I bought it but it hasn't retained it's replay value over the years IMO.

I can understand why some wouldn't dig Brandy but her discography is superb IMO, I have two of her albums rated as classics, and only one of them under 4 stars.
