He does, but that's just extended into something completely different than the initial discussion.

Agreed.

If the question were who has the bigger legacy, then it's easily GMF.

But we're talking pure skill...which clearly GMF is lacking by comparison.

Only a complete moron would tell you that the seed of an oak tree is stronger than a fuckin' oak tree...

And that skill is "lacking" according to you and a few others on here and thats okay too....but Flash is a way better Dj than AM is and it's not even close and so are the other dudes I mentioned as well...including Q-Bert (good call halfy)...for me this is not about who came before whom...this is about who is better and AM IMO was a poor man's Funkmaster Flex....he was not that dope...his overall show as a party dj was average at best....Flash is quicker and has more stylish cuts IMO....and also uses the mixer much better than AM as well.....AM is not fuckin with Flash, and Flash as a Dj is probably in the top 20......AM is probably top 40 by comparison.....Jazzy Jeff and Jazzy Jay are ahead of him as well...again all of this is in my opinion!

AM's cuts and scratches are way overrated by you Esco and thats because IMO your Dj knowledge is suspect too....he's a broke man's Funkmaster Flex who was requested to parties for people like Lindsey Lohan or Paris Hilton or Brittney Spears and if they thought he was DOPE, then that says everything that I need to know about him my dude....like I said he wasn't a horrible dj by any means...he was a good party dj and he knew what to play to cater to certain crowds....he was kind of like a male Samantha Ronson....his cuts and scratches were amazin' to Brittany and Lindsey and the like and it got him a bunch of work....

How familiar are you with people like

Roc Raida (R.I.P.)
Dj Eddie F
Dj Scratch
Dj Aladdin
Jazzy Jay
Red Alert

all of these dudes and many more would KILL AM over and over again and quite easily

Esco you won this debate on this forum because there are a bunch of heads on this particular forum that have a problem with my mouth and opinions...in other words I talk too much so (who cares this forum would be boring without myself,KJ,Trotter and a few others) by making votes like Myers as an example did (just to be an ass) they think that it somehows undermines my hip-hop knowledge or something I guess (LMAO)....but IMO it does the exact opposite....I know who really knows their shit on here and who doesn't...and it's really not even that hard to read between the lines when it comes to it....put DJ AM on some other forums and see the response you get Esco....to say it would be laughter is being nice....he was known as the Vanilla Ice of real Dj's my dude....and outside of you mentioning being impressed by his cuts and scratches, I have never ever seen anyone else even remotely mention this clown with the all-time greats....top 40...top 50?? maybe? but Lindsey and Paris are not hip-hop baby bubba....never once, outside of Paris once saying that she thought 50 Cent was cute and had a nice body....lol

in regards to Q-Bert and Flash....I think Bert's overall skills are better in regards to cutting and slicing up a record....but Flash is better with mixing the records IMO....I would give the overall grade in favor of Q-Bert....dawg is dope (good looks Halfy on remembering him)

but Esco your opinion can be anything you wish it to be dawg...if your feeling AM like that then continue to keep on doing just that my dude!

I was never saying that AM was the best of is, I made a simple comment that he's better at scratching than Flash. and I'm not overrating him in any way, I have an hour plus mix he did live and judging by what he did on that, its quite funny anyone can say they're overrated or that he's a poor man's Funkmaster Flex. As for being killed by those DJs, maybe on scratches but as far as mixing & mixshows, nahh.
