| Yeah, i dunno. I really don't think a Gangstarr album or that particular Black Sheep album belonged in this thread. | |

Yes it is....why do a greatest hits album? It makes no sense. GS is pretty well recognized by everyone in the forum anyway. Black Sheep belonged because it was a slept on gem. It could be argued that Homebase doesn't belong either, especially since it has Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince's greatest song on it. If you want a pick, I'll say Holy Intellect by Poor Righteous Teachers. |

Slept on does not necessarily mean one hit wonder jackass. It means that they've been overshadowed by albums that have come out since then. Isn't that what this thread is all about??? |

So out of the 6 shon named - 2 were from a soundtrack. The rest were from singles and all were previously unavailable unless you bought the singles. So it is either new or unavailable material. The Militia II, You Know My Steez (Three Men & A Lady Remix), The ? Remainz, So Wassup!?, Credit Is Due, and Gotta Get Over |

The Militia II, You Know My Steez (Three Men & A Lady Remix), The ? Remainz, So Wassup!?, Credit Is Due, and Gotta Get Over 3 of them were from soundtracks (2 that he named but another he forgot to name).....but yeah I bought The ? Remainz, and I had heard them all on the radio here before they were released on this set. Gotta Get Over even had a video released for it that got frequent play on Yo MTV Raps and Rap City. I can see why someone would think that they're new though, especially Shaun since he was a baby at the time most of these tracks came out. I was just setting the record straight. |

I see your point, but the difference between those two albums is that The Lost Tapes had nothing but unreleased tracks. Full Clip had a few unreleased tracks mixed in with tons of previously released tracks, making it a greatest hits album. |

| It wasn't a greatest hits. It was a Decade of Gangstarr. With over 10 tracks that were not hits how is it a greatest hits? |

Same shit, different title. It's considered a Greatest Hits album because it contains their most well known songs. Just about every album of that type has some unreleased tracks on it. And Gotta Get Over, Full Clip, Discipline became minor hits since they had videos out for them. |

| Who cares if they BECAME hits - they weren't hits when they were released for the first time... on FULL CLIP.
Full Clip is not just a greatest hits. It's not that hard to see that. Otherwise it wouldn't have sold like it did would it? |

Full Clip is not just a greatest hits. It's not that hard to see that. Otherwise it wouldn't have sold like it did would it? The album only went gold, and most of the people who bought it did so because they didn't own Gangstarr's full discography. Kev being a prime example. |

It was a combination of both factors, but greatest hits in general are usually bought by people who don't own an artists full discog. Nevertheless, since Wayne created the thread then he should decide whether or not the album gets on the thread. I personally don't think so because everyone here knows about Gangstarr, but I'll leave that decision up to him. I'll respect it either way. |
