Jay-Z got a whole lot of promotion when he came into town. Me not being a Jay-Z fan kept saying naaah I'm not going to that shit. If Jay-Z had a better line-up of rappers rocking with him like Busta or Luda I may have reconsidered but he was sharing the show with Young Jeezy and Trey Songz. But then at the last moment I said fuck it I'm going but too late tickets all ready sold out like 1 day prior to the concert. Jay-Z sold out Conseco Field House--something the Indiana Pacers couldn't do in 4 years. Observing the downtown area it was massive traffic, license plates from Ohio,Illinios , Kentucky, were abundant. And the ladies--wow the ladies!!! Unbeivable skins in mini skirts. There was even a lot of Co-Co built White girls strutting around. And there were all types of people from street thugs, college kids, and well dressed middle-age men and women attending the event.
I can easily shrub it off as pop-boppery but thats just foolish. Of course every one may not have been a fan of neither artists performing but its about the momentum of it. Anyone that could pull that kinda crowd you gotta respect. I'm sure some were there to see Young Jeezy rather than Jay-Z but Young Jeezy wouldn't have been able to pull that crowd if he headlined it. When my favorite rappers come into town or to Bloomington (where frequent a lot) the ordeal is ho-hum. Some are able to draw a decent crowd but no where comparible to that. Mainly White dudes and some females scattered here and there. Coomon drawed a good co-ed crowd when he was at the vogue some years back when BE first dropped. But anywhoo, I must give praise to the king.
