| This is a hard one for me. Guru has more albums I dig and maybe the better rap voice. But Mos has the betta lyrics, flow, and maybe delivery. I'll give it to Mighty Mos, won't be salty if Guru pulls it out though. |

| This is the hardest one so far IMO.....
Mos Def is easily the better lyricist but other than BOBS and Blackstar his discography is sub-par. Whereas Guru's material with Premier was never below 4 stars. I'd even take the first Jazzmatazz album over any Mos Def joint post-BOBS, so my vote is for Guru. |

| Mos Def is a much better emcee lyrically than Guru but when I think about who made better songs throughout the course of their respective career...then Guru is beating this guy up...especially this new lazy version of Mos Def
Guru wins ever so slightly

| This thread is not about just mic skills. This is Kev's thread, and he's already stated what the criteria is. If you got a problem with that, take it up with him. As far as i'm concerned, I approach this as who's the better mc, and there are many factors that go into that equation. I also don't agree with you and Parker saying albums shouldn't be factored into the decision. I buy music in album form, and it should be listened to from beginning to end. If an artist as remarkable mic skills but can't hold down an album consistenly, he should be taken down a notch. A good example for me would be Canibus. There's no question he'd kill the vast majority of mc's with his lyrics, but his albums don't match up to his skills. IMO, that's a waste of his potential.
Like Kev said, anything goes for the most part, so vote how you want to vote.

| ok, all i ask is for people not to concede that one artist is better than the other then vote for the other, thats hit is dumb and defeats the purpose of this IMO | |

Why do you care? It looks as if Mos is going to advance anyway. |
