| In today's hip hop environment, do you think an artist is capable of releasing a quality 3 CD album with all original material? |

| Potentially yes, realistically no. Few folks have yet to master the double. I would like to see what Lupe had in mind though. | |

You're right, few folks have yet to master a double album. |

| I 3 disk lupe CD would literally kill people of boredom.
MF Grimm's American Hunger is dope, so the answer would be yes, but 3 hours of anything is grueling unless there is some real variety and balance. Its a catch 22 - even 3 discs of illmatic material would be criticized for being too much of the same, but if you packaged illmatic, stillmatic, and Untitled as one trible album it would be criticized for not having any consistence or cohesiveness. |

Almost a case of not being able to satisfy everybody. |

When did this come out? 2006 And it was all original material? Apparently, but I haven't heard it. I just found out about it here and was reading about it now. I think I'm about to order it on Amazon though. | |

| I still have yet to check out American Anger. Its on the top of my radar. If somebody can pull it off, then more power to them. |

| American Hunger had a few old singles on it, didn't it?
I'm not disqualifying, I acutally prefer it when artists include all of their material (especially when releasing a huge set like that) instead of just throwing new shit on there so people don't bitch that "it's not all new material".
I think any credible artist is capable of having a dope album, and honestly, a triple album if they felt the need. If you have the right focus and components, it should be do-able. HOWEVER, those circumstances seem to be few and far between and I wouldn't suggest many try it.
Case in point: Haystak, Bizzy Bone, Kool Keith, Esham, K Rino, Sinna, Tech N9ne, T Rock, Mr. Sche, Z Ro, and Trae have all had years in their career where they dropped the equivilancy of a triple disc set of dopeness, but spread it out over different albums. There is obviously a way they could have packaged all the shit together and had it still come out dope if that's the way they wanted to go. |
