| He's a real dope lyricist with a unique (and pretty boring, IMO) delivery. If he had a more universal style, he'd probably be loved by everyone on here. | |

| I think Labor Days and None Shall Pass are both excellent albums, all around. I also think Felt 3 was the best Felt album....Aesop Rock brought out a more aggressive flow from both the emcees.
I'm a fan of his, but I don't bother defending him. I understand if somebody doesn't like it.

You're right, Ace's head spinning flow falls WAYYY below Cormega's plain spoken delivery. |

| He's actually a great writer, but he's not engaging to me. I generally find him boring. From what little i've heard, i do dig his production though. | |

Watch out, Terry. N3R0 will have his period on you, too

Pretty much. Though I won't go as far as to call myself a fan, I do dig a lot of his material.

Not sure how to say it any better.

| I agree with most of the things said hear. Bad emcee, good producer.
I liked FELT 3. | |

| "Bad" mc he's not. Is he for everybody? No. But does that make him wack? No. I don't like Busy Bee in the least bit, but I could see why some one else would enjoy his 2nd grade vocab and 1, 2; 1,2 flow. |

| Busy Bee is from a different era - when Hip Hop was in its infancy and the flows and words were simple. Bee was more of a "live" emcee and you have to consider who his audience was at the time.
Point taken with Aesop. He definately does not appeal to me as an emcee. But that does not make him wack.

| He is far from a "bad emcee". His delivery can certainly be alienating...and his subject matter, too. Mic skills being Mic skills, Ace can hang with the best of them. And, for anyone interested in hearing some depth and creativity beyond pop-culture metaphors and woe-is-me sentimental story telling, he delivers in bulk.
But, just like I said, his delivery makes him impossible for some to enjoy.

| You don't have to change your stance RHHWND. I think Aesop Rock is a bad mc too. like i said before, the content and writing is great, but that would make him a great writer or poet than it would an mc. His MCing skills are bad IMO. No amount of Jeff's unrelated insults or comments will change my mind. Please explain what Busy Bee has to do with this convo. | |

| He is a pretty horrid emcee... which sucks considering he says some interesting things... I think he is a bit out there because that is the only way to justify his wack emceeing... if he delivered his lyrics in a more conventional manner his weaknesses would be even more apparent. |

Like Terry and SRP were pointing out, you are incorrect.

| I like him, I have 3 of his albums at 4.5 stars. I'll be checking his next one whenever it drops. Good on production and the mic IMO. | |
