1982(Statik Selektah and Termanology) - 1982

Yo this shit is dope....I'm going 4.5 stars right now. I'm not the biggest fan of Term on the mic but the production carries him in the way that all these Guru haters thought Preem did with Gang Starr.

Out of this year this is easily my favorite album off initial spins... beating out even Mr Sche... shit is doper than the freeway jake one joint. I will refrain from rating til i get a few more spins, but this shit is fire...and yeah the production is enough to carry anyone, but term is focused and dope throughout IMO.

Can't wait to check this out along with the Celph/Buckwild joint.

He's really good on tracks such as Help but on other tracks he is easily out-shined by guests or uses a flow that I don't dig. He's certainly good on the mic overall though.

Term is definitely an acquired taste and not the complete emcee I wish he was, but he is dope here.

I'm hoping to cop this soon. Very well done to me. It is a good combination, Termanology might not the best lyricist ever, but Statik Selektah's production really stand out. I like the way he mixes soft hooks and hard beats, the combo is very good. 4 stars. Radio in definitely bangin'!

Statik hasn't made any bad music. This is around 4 stars on his work alone. I've only listened to it a handful of times, though.

I will say that he has a distinct sound. I think he's going to end up playing himself out if he doesn't slow down or at least try working with an artist that will expand his fanbase. Something out of his comfort zone, so to speak.

After checking this out, I would say this is closer to a 4.5 than a 4. Since I recently purchased this I have only listened to it twice. ..Not saying that it has no replay value, I've just been listening to too much other music.

Solid 4 stars IMO

Finally copped it, arrived just yesterday from Amazon. Worth every dollar.
