Working on two solo albums at once just doesn't seem like a good idea. You have to think only one of them will have the good work on it and the other will be the table scraps. He even mentions in the article that Gutter Rainbows will be like the early outtakes of Prisoners of Conscious. It reminds me of Nas dropping I Am and Nastradamus in the same year...Nastradamus was clearly the scraps, although I have revisited that album recently and I enjoyed it more than I previously did.
On a side note, anybody heard that Gucci Mane feat. Talib Kweli - Poltergeist? What an odd combo...it's not really that good but Talib kills his verse.

Thumbs up regarding your Nastradamus comment. But regarding Kweli, I think he can pull it off.
