| I like The Future Is Now more. But I think Funcrusher Plus is the more "heralded" album. | |

| theyre both underground classics. Funcrusher Plus is absolutely a hip hop classic and arguable the best album ever released by Rawkus, the only one you can make an argument for as more important from Rawkus is Blackstar
IMO
Funcrusher Plus, Violent By Design, Cold Vein, Future is Now, Operation Doomsday/Madvillainy, Anghellic, Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars all hold very special significance in undergound rap that not many albums can match when it comes to their impact on underground hip hop

| "Funcrusher Plus" is one of those albums I can listen to and appreciate for its artistic merit and creative vision, but by no means do I enjoy listening to it. It's very abrasive music.
"The Future Is Now" on the other hand is a lot of fun.

That is some delusional shit Slang. SWFQW is far more influential than ppl give it credit for. It started a lot of those multi layered underground beats that so many underground wu clones have copied off of. Also 4th Disciple has had a HUGE inlfuence on a ton of producers including Just Blaze and probably Kanye in an indirect way through his association with Rza. The MCing also had an impact on the conspiracy militant style found in so many underground rap albums today, you can believe what you want but 4th Disciple's production on that album was very influential. As for Anghelic, Teh N9ne is the highest selling independent record artist ever, and you're going to tell me that album didnt make an impact. GTFOH. Tech created a loyal legion of fans and that album had a lot to do with it. again, you're definition of undergorund is probably far more limited in what you consider underground

again, you're definition of undergorund is probably far more limited in what you consider underground Tech's grind and early exposure threw QD3 and standing out like a sore thumb in a limited talent pool of a city has more to do with it than that. Also Tech is from the midwest where his style of rap is status quo. So while he is a talented rapper let's not take it there like that album just blew him up. The album dropped way after his buzz had fizzled out. But his grind and output is what put him on top of the independent game. And Wu Tang is more reasonable for that style than Killarmy is. So is Sunz Of Man. Killarmy were clones my man plain and simple. |

The whole vibe and types of samples were clearly distinct and opened up the door to a lot of producers. And Kev, im not makign this up, so many rappers and producers have cited 4th Disciple (notably that album) for being a huge influence. You can believe what you want, but ill take rappers and producers words over yours, lol. i can see what you're saying about Tech and his grind

And Wu Tang is more reasonable for that style than Killarmy is. So is Sunz Of Man. Killarmy were clones my man plain and simple. Again, speaking without having the slightest clue what the fuck you're talking about. Tech was signed to Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis long before he even knew who QDIII was, so that's where most of his exposure came from (including SEVERAL standout performances on the Wake Up Show, notably when he rapped after Jay-Z and Jay famously said ON THE AIR "Man, I need to go back to school"). Also, Anghellic IS what exposed Tech to nationwide audience, prior to that album he'd never had an ad in XXL, Source, etc, let alone national distribution or even a national tour. But you think what you want because that's what you do. Don't let the facts get in your way, Kev. |

Well the title is "King Of The Underground" with a poll of which album is superior, Fun Plus or TFIN so if it's not about that then what is it about? |
