| I always make a dessert to take to my grandparents house for the thanksgiving feast. I usually do pumpkin pie and sweet potato pie from scratch but just about everyone brings those pies and there's always too much left over. Anyone have any ideas on something different? It can be anything. Doesn't have to be a pie. | |

| I love using leftover pie in milkshakes. Especially pumpkin or apple.
You could try using traditional flavors in Non-traditional ways...
Pumpkin whoopie pies, pecan/ ginger cheesecake
It's fun to incorporate alcoholic beverages, also
Mudslide creme brulee, for example.
And then there are all the classics...we're not bound by the seasons anymore
Pineapple upside down cake, banana foster, I've been killing this German chocolate cake lately. I've been using the recipe from Joy of Cooking...the first cookbook anyone who likes to cook should buy.

| Leftover turkey!
I can't help here. I eat chocolate pie, and if I'm in the mood I'll have pumpkin pie. But, apple, chocolate and pumpkin pies are all we have for dessert in my family.

| If you want to mix things up maybe a bread pudding. Always seems to be a crowd pleaser. | |

| Any incarnation of cheesecake is good, but I recommend sweet potato cheesecake. My wife, the cheesecake specialist, makes it every Thanksgiving (and when I beg her to make it). It's my favorite... | |
