PostSubject: Top 10 Songs of All Time   Wed 01 Dec 2010, 4:39 pm

After all the forum contraversy involving Nas' list of his Top 10 Hip Hop Songs of all time, I want everyone to drop their personal Top 10 list.

Now before y'all jump up and say "That's impossible, there's no way I could narrow it down to just 10 songs". Relax, they don't have to be in specific order. Nor do they necessarily have to be your OFFICIAL Top 10, because we all know that if asked this question again on a later date our lists would change, and would continue changing every time we were asked this question.

All you have to do is drop 10 songs in which you find yourself playing constantly. 10 in which mean a lot to you and that come to mind immediately when you think of Hip-Hop masterpieces.

With that in mind, this shouldn't be hard to do. I will do the same, and please be real with your picks. It doesn't matter what songs you list, just as long as you're honest about them.

SMH @ Terry. you say Slang and Kev ruined the thread but you laugh at that piece of shit Tran.

I might be big (not fat but big) but Tran's ugly. The difference is that I can diet, whereas Tran can't afford plastic surgery. That clown should consider himself lucky that I don't live anywhere near him, because if he did I'd beat the shit out of him for talkin about my mother. I don't play that shit.

Just remember that these picks don't have to be etched in stone. There's just off the top of the dome and can be edited at any time if you feel the need to do so.

Thanks man. I checked your list out and you have mostly some bonified hip hop classics on it. Hard to find flaws in yours.

I see you Jeff.

And Shaun i'm glad you see the greatness in Short like I do. Short easily has at least 2-3 songs in my top 25. I Ain't Tripping almost made it.

Indeed. I will post a list in a few; once I finish up some ish. It's Your Life by Short will be on there.

"And Shaun i'm glad you see the greatness in Short like I do. Short easily has at least 2-3 songs in my top 25. I Ain't Tripping almost made it."

Indeed. People knock Short because he's not a good rapper, but he makes some of the best music ever. He is in my top 20.

hmmm....yeah this is tough to do and is subject to change at any time, but for the most part it's pretty solid....

in no particular order:

Run-D.M.C.-Sucker MC's

A Tribe Called Quest-Electric Relaxation

Public Enemy-Rebel Without A Pause

Biggie-Hypnotize

BDP-Criminal Minded

Biggie/Jay-Z-Brooklyn's Finest

Public Enemy-Bring The Noise

Brand Nubian-Punks Jump Up To Get Beat Down

Juice Crew-The Symphony

Eric B & Rakim-Microphone Fiend

again this is somewhat subject to a few changes because a top ten hip-hop songs of all-time is basically impossible...but for today these are the ones that are going to make it for me...

I can think of 30 Wu songs I like more than Iron Flag, which you listed. That's not even the best song on that album IMO.

Hypnotize is in my Top 50.

I don't know why, but I dislike most of Biggie's singles. I just don't like them (Hypnotize, One More Chance, Mo' Money Mo' Problems[self explanitory], Big Poppa, etc.)

Don't even have a clue how to answer this. Off the top of my head i'll go in no particular order:

Geto Boys "Mind Playin Tricks on Me"
Scarface "Seen A Man Die"
Ice Cube "It Was A Good Day"
Mac Mall "My Opinion"-way out of left field i know.
Nas "One Mic"
Pac "So Many Tears"
Biggie "Unbelievable"
Eric B. & Rakim "Paid In Full"
Raekwon "Verbal Intercourse"
Mobb Deep "Shook Ones II"
Lords Of The Underground "Chief Rocka"

These are 11 of my top 100 i'm sure. But I couldn't even begin to do a top 10.

Oh, I thought this was supposed to be like the list Nas made. I listed favorites. If it was songs I thought were Top 10, it would be the usual suspects.
