This is a tough one. Both albums are great. LWFC gets it because I didn't care for Go.
What is you fav song from Like Water? Dooinit
What is your fav from Be? Corner (take out Kayne's voice and it's gold)
Dilla's or Kanye's production? Dilla ( too much of that chipmunk voice from kayne)
Weakest song on Like Water? The Light
Are either classic's? I think LWFC gets the edge, but Kayne did produce some dope beats on Be.

Uh Be in every concievable way. Not the least of which is it doesn't have a song listed as being produced by "God". Fuck Common and the Soulquarians.

I co-sign Slang, Like Water For Chocolate is a far superior album. It's a classic IMO, whereas Be is only 4 stars at best.
LWFC vs One Day It'll All Make Sense would have been a better matchup.

SMH @ Jeff, he always find the most petty, insignificant bullshit to bitch about. I just judge the music for the music itself, and musically LWFC is the better album.

Which do you like more? Both are my top 2 fav Common albums. I play Be more maybe. So i'll say Be. But overall Like Water is the better album imo.
What is you fav song from Like Water? 6th Sense
What is your fav from Be? Faithful
Dilla's or Kanye's production? Ye's Production.
Weakest song on Like Water? No weak songs really but Questions if I have to pick one.
Weakest song on Be? Go!
Are either classic's? I can see a strong case being made for both. I think Be will become classic for the new generation of Common fans. Like Water still has to compete with Resurrection & One Day to the older gerneration. But personally both are classics in my book.

Which do you like more? Be has LWFC beat by a half step.
What is you fav song from Like Water? Nag Champa or Funky For You
What is your fav from Be? Testify
Dilla's or Kanye's production? I like Dilla a lil more but Yeezy came wit it.
Weakest song on Like Water? Dooinit
Weakest song on Be? The Corner, I guess cause it really had no filler.
Are either classic's? Both are classic Be was perfect. LWFC had a few stumbles but still classic.

Wow. A rapper referencing themselves as "God" is 5% termanology, saying a song is PRODUCED by God is equating your musical talents with something miraculous. Get it? I don't give a fuck about the religious bullshit, it's the ego involved. Kanye West hasn't even done something so retardedly self motivated.

It's no different than Kane in the WWE saying he's the "devil's favorite demon" when in real life he's a Christian.
You make a big deal out of things that don't fucking matter. Common isn't the first person to refer to himself as God on the mic, and he won't be the last. You don't have a problem with Jay-Z calling himself "Jay-Hova" do you? Didn't think so.
Yes, I AM a Christian but someone saying that they're God-like on the mic doesn't bother me. They're not claiming to be God themselves. You blow things way out of fucking proportion but whatever man. It just limits your listening experience.
Personally, I just enjoy the music for what it is and LWFC is a great album, my 2nd favorite from Common behind Resurrection.

Again, Fantasia, I suggest you learn to read.
A)I'm referring to the SOULQUARIANS CLAIMING A SONG ON LWFC IS PRODUCED BY GOD. MUCH different than referring to yourself as God on the mic, etc.
B) Saying God did something YOU did is exactly doing what you're claiming to be against.
C) I'm not making a big deal out of things, but ridiculous shit like that irks me. You all, in fact, are having the reactions to my simple commment. My exact quote was "not the least of which" implying it's not the most bothersome, but also no the least.

I guess it's all in how you interpret it. They thought the beat was so good that there was no way they could've produced it themselves. They felt God was working through them and they were merely his instruments. But maybe that's just how I saw it.

Which do you like more? Damn, if you asked me a year ago, it would be Like Water easily. I'm not so sure anymore though, Be has really gotten better with each spin for me. Shit is some damn soulful. Fuck it, if I had to chose now, Be wins.
What is you fav song from Like Water? The Light, my favorite Common song.
What is your fav from Be? The Food, love that joint since the first time I heard it on Dave Chappelle.
Dilla's or Kanye's production? Dilla, I'm a stan.
Weakest song on Like Water? The Questions, I tend to skip that track.
Weakest song on Be? GO! I can still bump this song, but the lyrics on here are kinda lacking. Still a catchy song though.
Are either classic's? I don't know about hip hop classics, but both are easily personal classics.
