| Hmm I see The Game as Top 100. The Documentary is one of my favorite albums, minus 2 songs on there, and The Doctor's Advocate was a good sophomore album but definitely not as great as the 1st. Not to mention he killed G-Unit on all those mixtapes. Though he can get annoying with all the name shout outs, when he really wants to rap, he puts it on. | |

| The Game has three above average albums (one classic, and a very near classic) but relies far too heavily on guests and producers. Maybe he'll prove himself more in the future. |

| Game is Top 100. While he's only an average to above average lyricist, his albums have all been pretty good, with his debut being a near classic. |

| i gotta say neither, i like the Game but he doesnt really impress me and relies on name dropping in basically every verse. Its almost to the point here if u gave me lyrics on a piece of paper i could probly guess if there the Game's 9 times outta ten.
i like the game but hes neither

| Well I just read that Game's working on a new album and he's "restarting his engine," not sure what that mean but I'm hoping he'll go back on that Documentary level. | |

| The Game is top 100 to me. I spin his albums and mixtapes on a regular basis. He does have his drawbacks, and that pushes him to the bottom portion of my top 100 though. | |

| On a side note, has anybody heard the Michael Jackson tribute track by Game? It's called "Better On The Other Side" and it's a BANGER! Download it if you haven't already. |

Which one's you're fav? Ghost Unit is my favorite from the one's I've heard. Man's a beast when it comes to dissing. Well dissing G-Unit at least.

Yeah, i heard it earlier on the radio actually. It's a nice song from The Game and Chris Brown with a few words from Diddy. Y'all should definitely check it out.

| Game can be top 100 but toward the end and he fits neither also due to being still new. The name droppin does not bother me at all it makes his style dope. Chino does the same so stop whining. |

Game has 3 albums that are all at least 4 star quality, hence he gets in for me. Chino XL may be a good lyricist, but he doesn't have the consistency or the noteriety that Game does. The only good album he dropped was his debut, hence Game gets in for me and Chino doesn't. |

| KJ, really, this 'noteriety' shit just seems like another word for 'popularity', 'sales', 'marketability'.
If this is honestly your grading criteria...
You're more a fan of pop music than hip hop.
I can kind of understand 'swagger' as a marker (even though I think it insinuates a homo crush on the artist), but 'noteriety'? You are 100% basing you're opinion on what the general public thinks, and admitting it.
Kind of weak, right? | |

| What I'm saying here is that Chino would bloodbath slaughter Game, so what else is there?
'noteriety'? | |

Kind of weak, right? I swear to God, I hate when people fuckin pigeonhole me and that always seems to fucking happen in the forum. My vote IS NOT entirely based on noteriety, however it is ONE of the criteria that's taken into consideration for me. If this were 100 Greatest Lyricists, then I would have voted for Chino XL, but it's NOT. It's 100 Greatest Artists. I vote for people based on the following....Consistency, Body Of Work, Talent level, Impact, Influence, and Noteriety. The only thing Chino has over Game is lyricism/talent level. Game beats him in ALL the other catagories. Anybody that knows me knows that I LOVE REAL HIP-HOP, anybody that says otherwise doesn't really know me. Chino IMO only had ONE good album, "Here To Save You All". That's not enough to warrant a spot on this list IMO. Game has 3 good albums, one of which "The Documentary" is a near classic. Therefore Game > Chino XL |

I couldn't even begin to pick a favorite. Have you heard his mixtapes before Aftermath? There's some real dope ish on them.
I vote top 100, easy. I may even go top 50, but probably not. All of mixtapes and albums are dope to me. I don't mind the name dropping thing when he does it clever, like Chino, which he does a lot.

Hmm, I'm not really sure when he exactly joined aftermath. Would it be the "You Know What It Is Vol.1?" But I'm looking to download some of his Indie albums Untold Story & Westside Story, and YKWITI Vol.1 also.

| Neither. He can rip a verse from time to time, but the two solo albums of his I've heard are not that great IMO. | |

YKWII Vol. 1 isn't that great, IMO. That would probably be my least favorite mixtape/album from The Game that I've heard. I'm not sure of the names of the mixtapes, but songs like (not all of these are before Aftermath/G-Unit) "I'm A Solider", "Put Me Under", "Ride With Me", "A New Day", "What Happened To That Boy (freestyle)", and junk like that are all dope. Youtube has most of those and others from the same time period.
YKWII Vol. 2 is good, and Untold Story is easily one of my favorite Game albums. Check out "Neighborhood Supastars" on Youtube.
