| Well, as of this posting, I'm still waiting for my Redman and T.I. albums to arrive in the mail, plus I preordered the new Ghostface and Sheek Louch albums, so this is unprecedented regarding me and preorders, lol. Anyway, in the midst of all of this, yes it's official, via Amazon.com, I've ordered Goodie Mob's Still Standing!!!!! All of your recommendations were very welcome and I can't wait for this to arrive after ALL of the hype you guys have pumped into this album. It'll be a nice addition to my collection and once it arrives and I listen to it, I'll post here! | |

| I think that Terry, Jeff, SRP, and Kev kinda overrate this album but it's a 4.5 star effort. You'll enjoy it Wayne.
I think that I Wish My Brother George Was Here and Black Sunday should be your next Amazon orders though, both are better than Still Standing IMO. |

| This album is dope, the production is surprisingly minimalistic and it took me a bit to get used to but in the end it was all good. | |

Nas is a better rapper than a lot of guys you show love to, yet you don't hold Illmatic in very high regard. Unlike Still Standing, Illmatic is an consensus classic. |

Well I have both albums rated at 4.5, as do many others. You haven't even heard Blaqprint so you can't even honestly say otherwise. A Taste Of Chocolate is a 3.5-4 star album at best, yet you put it over Long Live The Kane which is widely considered a classic. Checkmate! |

| The difference is Blaqprint is overrated at 4.5.... those beats alone would be 5 stars...lol... dope beats for the most part... but the emceeing is not 5 star emceeing.
That and Still Standing has withstood the test of time - over ten years and still fresh and dope... you just can't compare it to a recent album. In 10 years Blaq Print is going to be Group Home 2 |

I said that SS is 4.5 stars, and I rate Blaqprint the same. I don't see how that's hating. You saying Illmatic is a 4 star album is hating, me saying Blaqprint is on par with SS isn't hatin. That was my entire point. You're just riding your obvious Southern bias, it's whatever though. |

In 10 years Blaq Print is going to be Group Home 2 If I had a quarter for every album by an average and below average rappers that you've overrated, I'd be a millionaire. Also, Blaq Poet is a far better MC than either member of Group Home. I know people that rate Livin Proof a classic as well. I've heard far more classic talk for Livin Proof than I have for Still Standing. SS is a better album, but just sayin. All this shit coming from a guy who feels that Seagram's Soul On Ice is the GOAT hip-hop album. That album wasn't even relevant back then, let alone now. This is clearly a case of the pot calling the kettle black, need I say more?

That is the definition of hating. Who the fuck even rated this over 4.5? Show me where me jeff or kev had even posted in this fucking thread before you mentioned it?
Terry says he rates it a 4.75 and yet it is overrated? for a 4.5 difference?
You talk out of your ass making shit up and call this overrated? That is the definition of hating.
Then you say we hyped the hell out of this album as if its an undisputed classic? Show me where the term "undisputed" classic was used by anyone?
Then you bring in an album completely unrelated to this album or thread to compare it to? A random ass Primo album has nothing to do with Goodie Mob.
That's called hating.
If you weren't hating you woulda just stopped by, given your rating, and been done with it. Simple. |

There is no pot... It's a case of you hating and bringing irrelevant shit into a convo. NONE of that shit means anything in this thread. And I'm not a pop bopper like you so I don't worry about whether an album is RELEVANT or what other people TELL ME to like. |

If you weren't hating you woulda just stopped by, given your rating, and been done with it. Simple. Well when you're saying that none of the other albums Wayne wanted to check out other than BP were worth shit, and Jeff said to throw them all away (including Blaqprint) that prompted me to say what I said. Add to that the fact that y'all made it seem like a crime that Wayne hadn't heard this album, yet people like Tran haven't heard a single Run-DMC or Public Enemy album and nobody except for me and Powell call him out on it. |

Hating is you saying that Lupe Fiasco's two albums aren't worth checking out.
Me saying that SS is a 4.5 star album on par with The Blaqprint is NOT hating. Nor is me saying that Del's debut or Cypress Hill's sophomore effort are better than SS hating.
Case fuckin closed.

And I stick to my belief none of those other albums are worth shit... maino is wack.. epmd is average.. I don't like Lupe - he asked for my opinion - I gave it - and none of those albums are anywhere near as good as still standing.

Bringing up irrelevant shit is hating. Case closed. If someone asks about Still Standing it is not your chance to recommend some of the other shit you jack off over. You need to learn to focus on the task at hand. |

Still Standing WAS NOT one of the albums Wayne asked about. You hated on the ones he asked about and ONLY THEN was Still Standing brought up. So by your very own definition (bringing up irrelevant shit) YOU WERE HATING!!!! You need to learn how to realize what the fuck you're talking about before replying. |

I've only got 2 more gifts to buy, after that I'll splurge on myself with whatever comes to mind. As for what I want, I'd be content with gift cards but I'll be thankful for whatever I get. I already know what my chick, my nephew, and my sister got me, the rest will be a surprise. What about you Pedro? |

I tend to get what I need/want during the year so people say I am hard to shop for. I enjoy the season though so it doesn't matter what people get me. You need to bump the new DJ Premier KJ. You will love it. |

I'm the same way as to getting what I want/need during the year, and I can also co-sign about enjoying the season. Christmas means more to me than just the gifts. I'll peep the Premo. I'll be going to the mall on Saturday so I'll see if they have it, if not then I'll order it on Amazon. |

| I think I'm one of the ones that "kinda overrated this album", even though it was in a joking manner. Still Standing is a dope album, and I thought Wayne should definitely peep it, since he hasn't yet.
For some reason, I want to say he was talking about the new Capone N Noreaga album but hadn't checked this one out. Seeing as it's no secret that Noreaga sucks, I thought that was a travesty.
