Beat Battle Week #3 - Rules and Acapella (Due 3/29/10 by Midnight)

So this week we are doing a remix.

Rules are simple, make your own original beat to the acapella below. This means no sampled bass/melody/drums/etc. By that I mean loops. You can sample a drum kick, a snare, an individual note, etc. but after that everything has to be 100% original.

Let's hope we don't embarrass ourselves.

I completely disagree with whoever those people are.

I disagree as well halfman. I think Soul On Ice is dope and the production is nowhere near as bad as they say. But when it dropped it got that reputation and never seemed to shake it.

I'm down. I've never made a beat with specific lyrics in mind so it would be an interesting challenge.

All you have to do is create a thread with your rules of the battle, put a link to the sample we have to flip or the acapella we have to use. And the folks who will participate will reply to the thread. And give everyone a week to produce the beat/remix. And create another thread with a poll with everyone who are in the battle's name on it and give everyone a week to vote. After one week, the person with the highest votes wins.

Do you know any good sites to find acapellas? I think thats the method I wanna try first.

I usually just steal them from Youtube lol. I record them with Audacity. If you find one on Youtube I can get it for you. Just let me know what you want.
