Yeah they are very hit or miss. Mostly miss. I owned one of their albums but took that shit back.

Have you checked Evidence's "Layover ep"? It's pretty dope. Dilated as a group just doesn't do much for me. I guess my favorite is "Expansion Team", but really nothing about them stands out. Boring really.

I would say all of their music is good for background. Nothing offensive, laid back uplifting type stuff. If you focus too closely on it it falls apart, though.

Neither are really must own albums, but if you're like me and think Dilated are good for a spin every once in a while, then these are the two to have. Some good tracks on both, just don't expect 5-star albums.

You just saw the ratings I gave them, right? So how am I hating? And for what it's worth, I thought 20/20 was a 3.75 star album. While DP isn't a GOAT caliber group, I don't think they're wack by any means.

The Platform is an underground classic, that's a banger and it's their best work. Expansion Team was good. Everything they put out after their second effort was not on point. I followed them with the first two discs, I didn't like neither Weatherman nor Rakaa solo.

Weatherman was pretty good, but his EP The Layover was better.

I think Cats & Dogs and the Step Brothers album he has coming out with Alchemist have potential to be really good. Ive like everything ive heard Evidence on lately, he sounds rejuvenated

Ive been spinning The Weatherman lately and i like it a lot more. The production is still top notch and Ev can get boring but its still a good album. Im really looking forward to Cats and Dogs

I love the weatherman... but I can see people not digging Ev as an emcee, though I personally think he is dope.

I love both his albums. If you can dig a slow flow, than I don't see how you won't like Ev.

I can dig a slow flow, but I can't dig that 3 to 6 words per bar bootiness that he does.

I've heard the 2 KJ posted above and both are 4 stars to me. I actually think The Platform was a better album. Totally solid stuff, but I would have to agree they don't really have a signature sound.
